hey there i accidentally disconnected my white main cable from the fuse fox on my 2013 prius when the car was still on all the screen went off and after that the code U0100 came on with the check hybrid system msg on the screen i will check that part i hope i have the same luck like you thanks ..
Plug everything back in as it normally would be. Then, do a hard reset. Make sure everything is off. Disconnect the Negative side of the 12 volt battery. Then take out the orange plug for the hybrid battery and plug it back in. Reconnect the negative side of the 12 volt battery. Turn the car on. That should reset everything and could potentially solve your problem. Hope this helps! VT247
I have a gen 2 Prius 2006 and even replaced my ECU under the drivers side and 2 months later having start up issues when sometimes it’ll start into ready mode or not could this be the same issue as you describing here?
What codes are coming up? If you don’t have a scanner, I bought an inexpensive PanLong Bluetooth OBDII scanner for about $20 off eBay that works great with Dr Prius. Your problem could be this sensor or it could be a weak cell in the battery pack. Check the 12v batter also. VT247
@@ryara3476 It very well could be the Voltage Sensor Module. The video is on a Gen 3 Prius. Should be located in about the same location on a Gen 2. Don't have a cell phone plan, so can't message. If you'd like to send me an email, that's fine. vacationtime247 at aol dot com VT247
@@Vacationtime247 Hey bud just wanted to update you, so I took it to the shop and they confirmed $166 dollars later that’s it’s the hybrid ecu. On Monday I’m going to check to see exactly how they came to conclude so I can get a warranty replacement from the company I bought this ECU from. However it being now my second ECU replaced making it the third one in the car I wanted to do some other testing pertaining to like what you told me. I actually checked the CAN bus high and low (pin 6 and 14 on obd port) to see if there’s any shorts on ground or voltage I used this video as a reference to understand what the hell i was doing lol: ruclips.net/video/fZMNzKpCGfc/видео.html particularly 6 min and on for quick reference - anyway here are the results I noted down: Battery voltage: 12.6 normal CAN (communication area network) bus: 62 ohms normal range CAN bus short to voltage test: DC Volts Can high 6- no voltage normal Can low 14- no voltage normal CAN bus short to ground test: ohms Can high 6- 2.914 Can low 14- 2.914 So it looks like the can bus having resistance on the short to ground test could be the key to my issues the question is which module could be causing this? unplugging the ECU actually didn’t change it still read 2.914. Now pertains to what you showed on vid the battery voltage ECU in the back by the hybrid battery how do I test this if the whole car is unplugged and if isn’t this, what other ECU or module do I unplug and check for? Or should I just replaced the ECU and call it a day? Thanks for responding and helping me out btw!

@@Vacationtime247hey yes it’s U0293 and U0100 I’ve checked the 12v and it’s fine
Is there a way I can PM you?

POB47 it’s the one Ineed to replace it
Check the bus bars and nuts for corrosion. Inspect the voltage sensor too, mine was fried.
