This story is based on , which is like everyone Chinese knows the storyline. I think the director did not show all the details because he/she assumed all audiences know the storyline already. This film is an extension from the novel, Mei & her master's romantic storyline was a hidden message from the author. Well, everyone didn't get it... So, in the 2rd (last) revision of the book, the author Jin Yong made their romance exposed. Well... still most Chinese people do know it, because the most famous version of the book is the 1st revison. Most dramas/movies made during recent years were based on the 1st revison.
The master's wife has a photographic memory. She can recite it all, and she has written it all out but because it was stolen, she had to rewrite it again during pregancy which lead to her demise.

東邪、西毒、南帝、北丐,中神通,這耳熟能詳的射鵰英雄傳,突然看到這部電影,竟是講梅超風,陳玄風成名的經過,有如射鵰前傳,雖知不是金庸先生的作品,但都可一解懷緬金庸先生之念。
從梅超風視角去看射雕的故事，不錯！選角形象很到位，故事凸顯出金庸筆下對黃梅師徒間之曖昧與其悲劇性！
应该叫《梅超风传》

感觉有些武功是可以靠勤奋练出来的，比如降龙十八掌，而有的武功真要靠天赋，比如落英神剑掌，再怎么勤奋也不可能达到黄老邪的高度。
