This anime was actually rotoscoped, drawing over real life movements most likely. This anime took four years to make because of how detailed and intricate it is.
It's not as easy as "leeeeave". The assumption that the conception of "spiral" only appears in physical form is incomplete and ignorant. Spiral can take the form of biology, geography, metaphysics. Time. It fucks with your comprehension of existence. Uzumaki is a good depiction of Cosmic Horror.

It does somewhat look like it, because of the realism in the way characters move and such, but its actually not CGI! It is all actually hand animated; it took them about 4 years to make the show because of how much detail was put into the fluidity of everything, it's amazing. For me personally too, it gives it a bit of an eerie feeling which I love, it gives off a similar vibe to the unsettling and uncanny feel of the manga
I didn’t intend on watching this since I’m not into horror like that but it peak my interest. Now I have something to watch for my tradition of horror/Halloween specials watch.

I loved reading Uzumaki for the first time, I ate through it in a matter of days and nights. Can't wait to see how you like it :3 And yeah, the deaths are pretty gruesome, but what happens to the mom was by far more disturbing for me, eesh
@Sheera - I think the reason Azami became a Spiral the way she did was her pride in how she "attracts" every guy she meets. She sucks them in. She seems to have centered her identity around it- even hurting herself as a kid trying to impress a boy. So she became this empty, un-fillable vacuum-void that eventually consumes even her. That was her own personal “spiral” in life that the town took advantage of. That also seems to be why she developed such a quick obsession with Shuichi- he was different bc he showed no discernible attraction to her. How could that be?
There seems to be a pattern that if you "accept" the spiral in any way shape or form you get sucked in faster and faster. That's why Shuuichi is so resistant because he can't stand to even see one
so basically, uzumaki represents desire/obsession it's taking it as a disease, a pandemic... things like this always start with a "patient zero" and then spread so quickly without everyone realizing...
I can only think they haven't left, so as to not leave family behind. But yeah, it's time to activate those rocket shoes and fly right the hell out, like yesterday. lol
I tried to read Uzumake for the first time to the end two years ago. It's interesting. There's a reason why they don't leave revealed later on. Also, what happens later makes the first episode look normal.

A Primal reaction would be dope.
@@christinabrown7308 dude i feel like they would have a blast watching primal especially roshi cause he likes to talk over dialogue a lot😭
We finally have a good adaptation of a Junji Ito manga

@@stancinatti8198yeah and it was terrible
@@Cs-cp6vonot to me😤

Didn't know you would be reacting to this, extremely hyped!
I don't know how you turn something this creepy into something so hilarious
I didn’t intend on watching this since I’m not into horror like that but it peak my interest. Now I have something to watch for my tradition of horror/Halloween specials watch.
Y'all are hysterical. And the editing is 👏🏻
Finally a adult swim anime y’all aren’t complaining about hooray
ninja kamui was so buns 😭😭
So I’m not as big of an anime fan as you guys and a lot of reactors. I enjoy quite a few though A LOT!!! But it takes a lot for me to get invested. This one is one of very few anime where I was sold and invested in episode 1! The English acting is amazing too!
Animators: Spends 5 years to get the animation to look beautifully perfect even delaying the series because it took longer than they thought.
People: Cool CGI 😂
Still love you guys though, the other Adult Swim CGI mess called Ninja Kamui probably just traumatized them.
Didn't know anything about this before watching, and I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. Exceptional. Defo gonna be a heavy hitter in this already insane season we're entering.
So glad you guys are reacting to this!!
This was so creepy...they did a great job animating this bro. Mariya Ise and Cristina Vee continued being a stellar sub/dub va tag team. And now I got a new fear of spirals😭☠️
im feeling mad early today, loved how many times naruto references were expected 😭😭
if you're wearing headphones you'll notice the ending song is panning back and forth from ear to ear, in a spiral
The way this video is chopped up has me crying. Im off a shroom rn and it’s making the already overwhelming pace of the story even wilder lol
Spiral is everywhere
You have spiral on you
I have spiral on me
You have spiral inside you
I have spiral inside me
We all come out of spiral
And we all came back to spiral
Of all the channels y'all's was the one I was hoping was going to cover this!
"Say no to drugs-ass commercial" is the funniest thing I've heard in any reaction to this lmao
I loved reading Uzumaki for the first time, I ate through it in a matter of days and nights. Can't wait to see how you like it :3
And yeah, the deaths are pretty gruesome, but what happens to the mom was by far more disturbing for me, eesh
Putting ‘Lateralus’ at 6:54 is fantastic
If you got Headphone on , the voice and sound of the girl singing at the end do a spiral ( sorry for my english )
Let's gooooooooo
Was waiting for yall reaction to this
so basically, uzumaki represents desire/obsession
it's taking it as a disease, a pandemic...
things like this always start with a "patient zero" and then spread so quickly without everyone realizing...
I can only think they haven't left, so as to not leave family behind.
But yeah, it's time to activate those rocket shoes and fly right the hell out, like yesterday. lol
Just for everyone to know: this is MoCap made 3D and then 2D animated over.
5 Years well spent in production!
Already one of my favorites of the year
I tried to read Uzumake for the first time to the end two years ago. It's interesting. There's a reason why they don't leave revealed later on. Also, what happens later makes the first episode look normal.
6:54 Geto: SUPREME ART UZUMAKI
BROOO i'm so sick, I just realized that the Uzumaki that fake Geto turns Mahito into is a reference to the dad in the tub 💀
I'm so glad manga from over 10 years ago are finally getting adapting. I feel sooo glad this is 3'rd gen for anime for good and bad. lets see where this goes!
This anime is everything I never knew I needed in my life. God, I'm laughing under my breath like a madman, but it's just so beautiful.
Like jojo's said this is a "CRAZY NOISE BIZARRE TOWN!"
I definitely need to watch your reactions right after the episodes lol, the anime goes from scary to hilarious from 0 to 100 in 1 second!!!
LOL the Lateralus fade in got me good
Imma send them in like an spiral - 21 Savage
It’s been years since a anime actually got me shook
I watch ep 1 alone in the dark and expecting jump scares but THIS SHIET IS EXTREMELY UNSETTLING
Junji Ito’s masterpiece Uzumaki 🌀has finally aired it was spiraling out of control weather it would come out
