Thorin...they beat Navi twice in a week. Just cause you don't care about blast because they never hired you doesn't mean that all accounts for nothing hahah
Thorin has moved the goal posts regarding the fluke thing so much already that the word has lost all meaning. There never was a relevant tournament where the format, brackets, form on the day, pressure and pressure tolerance weren't a deciding factor on who wins in the end. It has nothing to do with luck, when it's inevitable that the winning team will have some combination of these factors on their side. Taking the opportunity that presents itself and making the most of it is what winners do. You can play badly and still win if you get lucky. But if you play well and win based on that, it has nothing to do with luck even if you haven't played as well in some other less important games.
@moke23 thorin agrees , the fluke is that they weren't the best team for say a few tournaments in a row. Cloud9 was the best team in Boston, doesn't mean that it wasnt a fluke for them to be the best team for an entire playoffs length vs the best teams and especially faze who always toyed with cloud9. Navis win was a fluke because their players werent there yet, they were taking turns having star performances, and sometimes there was no star just an amazing system. Recently navi has had atleast 1 star usually atleast 2 shining at a time, their players have seemingly developed and their recent success seems like it can be maintained and repeated, aka not a fluke.
NaVi major win was fluke because they are playing much better now. Which means either they underperformed during major or other teams did. Spirit was much better than them during the major it's a shame that they lost to FaZe under pressure
@@Tobygas no it doesn't mean their opponents played poorly , it means that navi being THAT good wasn't the norm. They didn't have the player power. For Christ's sake b1ts miracle map against faze was a miracle then, NOW he pulls maps like those pretty consistently
What I don't understand about the NAVI fluke topic is this: Isn't every team winning the major before winning tournaments a fluke win? So the major win of LG was a fluke since they didnt do shit after their major? They were literally a Top 6 Team before the major win. I dont think NAVI's Major win was the most likely outcome but at this point I would like to know from Thorin what a team can do to not have a Fluke Major win if its their first
if g2 wins its a fluke, honeymoon, others were not prepared for new roster if navi win its a fluke, they got lucky spirit went out else they would beat navi if faze win, its a fluke, games were too close, they are running out of steam and should still make roster changes if vitality wins, its a fluke, they usually choke, just got convenient opponent that couldn't press them hard enough, kick mezi
What is to understand is that Thorin never admits that he was wrong. He just found a twisted phrasing to not admit that this NAVI major win was not a fluke: "they've just become much better individually, the calling and round planning is better, it's basically not the same team it was in March." L4ME!
@@eckowezen God forbid a team can work on themselves and be better. The major was a fluke because they overperformed above their level AROUND THAT TIME.

Real. Navi weren't dominant but they were the best team at Copenhagen other than maybe spirit who choked
@@Styr1N So why did they win then? Doesn't that mean that everyone played like shit? Whoever wins Copenhagen gets called a fluke win?
@@Tobygas no it doesn't mean their opponents played poorly , it means that navi being THAT good wasn't the norm. They didn't have the player power. For Christ's sake b1ts miracle map against faze was a miracle then, NOW he pulls maps like those pretty consistently
28:55 Yekindar wormtongue confirmed xD
What I don't understand about the NAVI fluke topic is this: Isn't every team winning the major before winning tournaments a fluke win? So the major win of LG was a fluke since they didnt do shit after their major? They were literally a Top 6 Team before the major win.
I dont think NAVI's Major win was the most likely outcome but at this point I would like to know from Thorin what a team can do to not have a Fluke Major win if its their first
if g2 wins its a fluke, honeymoon, others were not prepared for new roster
if navi win its a fluke, they got lucky spirit went out else they would beat navi
if faze win, its a fluke, games were too close, they are running out of steam and should still make roster changes
if vitality wins, its a fluke, they usually choke, just got convenient opponent that couldn't press them hard enough, kick mezi
Win by dominating your enemies. Like spirit did in their maiden win, nobody called that tournament a fluke.
@@navox933 turns out that kato win was the biggest fluke.
What is to understand is that Thorin never admits that he was wrong. He just found a twisted phrasing to not admit that this NAVI major win was not a fluke: "they've just become much better individually, the calling and round planning is better, it's basically not the same team it was in March."
L4ME!
@@eckowezen God forbid a team can work on themselves and be better. The major was a fluke because they overperformed above their level AROUND THAT TIME.
Damn Heroic better than TL, that is a Hot Take!!
Literally kassads shiro take is as egregious as saying tim duncan isnt good because hes boring
I really really like the yekindar for nertz.
This is a really underrated move. I love it tbh
Nertz is gonna burnout with heroic. He needs to be on a team exactly like liquid
