Wow!! I am not a fan of pink, but this painting may have convinced me to try. It really goes well with the paynes grey and the purple as well, both of which I love!
I just found your channel. I really appreciate they way you explain your thought process. This is a beautiful piece. I will enjoy binge watching your videos!
It looks like a night sky with the moon behind clouds that you would see in a beautiful children's book. You are brave to use the Goldens Mica without being sure what it will look like when dry. Especially since this one is SO gorgeous. I am learning a lot about being willing to continue stretching a piece. Please be sure and let your DJ know he did a great job with the background music.
Wicked Cool....so glad you dumped that left side off. Absolute perfection on this one. I love watching you decide what to keep and what to eject. Puts me in my artsy mood. Thanks for sharing.
This is freaking amazing! I get so much inspiration from your pours! Yesterday I did a pour and it ended up with a lot of one color on one side. Then I thought Mina would take the colors and make some lines (or a lot😁) and tilt to incorporate them. So I did that and it really saved it! So thank you for your video's and for teaching us what you know! ❤😘
Beautiful! 👍🏼. You scared me with the mica powder though because I was worried you would disturb the painting underneath. I love how you push your paintings.
I wanted to see what it did 😁 I like the results, I wish I had not been so frugal with it. That was the 'bling' that inspired the Studio Fifty Floor title lol (I was sitting on the floor of my studio) Thanks for watching and commenting 🥰
Mina Villegas Art I couldn’t get down there much less get back up! 😂. My video would be nothing but groaning! 🤣😂. Thanks for taking the pain for us-I enjoy your painting and chuckles! 👍🏼❤️
I accidentally sent a friend invite to your personal page a few weeks ago - sorry about that! I missed the art part. Found the ART page today and gave it a like. Your work is so beautiful, and I just love the instruction you give in your videos. Still not have the nerve to try this myself but maybe someday!
This is gorgeous. I panicked when you started spreading that Mica on it after I "thought' you were done. But as usual it turned out beautiful. lovein the color combo.
Mina, what have you done? Are you ok??? Leave it up to Mina she gona pour some how some way and dang it girl you did one of your best yet pours ! Omg I love you colors Mina omg ? It is so gorgeous!!! Take care of yourself!!! Lisa
I think you ladies are referring to the end of the cup, the last bit of the ring pour? They do kind of look like fingers, but that sounds a bit creepy LOL how about fronds or fans? I do really like that effect too 🥰
Hi Mina, cheers from Northern Ontario, Canada. Love your work; it is absolutely beautiful. I apologize before hand (I know....so Canadian of me lol) because I am certain you have been asked hundreds of times, but what are your ratios for your pouring medium? I am supposing you add your PM to your paint until you get your consistency of mound upon mound. Thank you for all your inspirational work. (by the way I watched several of your videos today hoping to get the recipe but obviously I did not watch the right ones)
I agree about the white, even in all the house renovations I did, I never use white, I prefer linen. I just got Parchment & unbleached Titanium Liquitex, just as I would for trim work.
Wow beautiful !!! I cant believe how much of a bla tint Golden has to their Payne's grey... I always have to mix some blue on my liquitex paynes & even Amsterdam to get it that blue. To me it almost looks Prussian in this & another video you used it in. Anyway congrats on yet another great pour "Popeye" !!! H azz Hahaha. Too late it's already my nickname for you lol. You swing those big canvases around like they are cardboard. Hahahaha. !!! Thanks for sharing....the color combo is amazing. I also love Elyse Fourniers technique on getting the pearl cells with house paint and cant wait to try it in different shades ... I was just chatting with another artist yesterday about trying the pearl white & how much cooler it would look than the starkness of regular white I feel the same exact way about it & want to come up with a way to use pearl for a cloud pour I have in mind but not sure I can pull it off . If you have any thoughts or suggestions on that I would greatly appreciate it. !!! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😉😉😉😉
question... I thought it was most beautiful at 16:00... did you need to pour more off because there was still too much paint on it? result was amazing too
Hi Deana! I didn't *need* to.. there was still a lot of paint on there, judging by how fast the paint moved. It was just personal preference, I really love stretched out straight pours, I think they are amazing..
Hi Debbie! I use Liquitex Gloss Medium &Varnish in my mix, so I don't really have to, there is already varnish in the paint. But I do sometimes, I have been using Liquitex High Gloss Varnish for some of the smaller pieces, for the big ones I have put Spray Varnish with UV protection on them. I have not played with resin yet.. but soon 😉 Thanks for watching and commenting 🥰
This is absolutely gorgeous! May I ask, where do you get the push pins that are one the bottom of your canvas and how are you calculating the amount of paint. I hear so many different ways but I really feel the way you work with and approach the paint is mystical and magical. You are my favorite. Hansel this far! ThNk you for your inspiration. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much Julianne 🥰 To calculate how much paint you need, multiply the length of the canvas times the width. Then divide by 28. For example a 12x12 canvas would be: 12 x 12=144. 144÷28= 5.14 ounces So each 12x12 needs about 5 ounces of paint. For bigger canvasses I like to have some insurance, so I usually will make up an extra cup of paint just in case. Length x width, then divide by 28. The pushpins are from Amazon.. I use a rubber mallet to pound them in Officemate Giant Push Pins, 1.5" Assorted Colors, 2 Tubs of 12 (92905) www.amazon.com/dp/B07GPQ47F7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_W-WHDb1XH31YG

Very lovely! So what the did mica powder actually do? It just looks white to me on my screen.
It looks like glitter 😁 if you check out the end where I show you the dried painting I go looking for the sparkle. I wish I had put more on there!
What are those finger looking things called? This is so awesome!
Kathy Carr I’m glad someone else saw the two hands of fingers. I’ll find where they first intrigued me so Mina can see them.
I think you ladies are referring to the end of the cup, the last bit of the ring pour? They do kind of look like fingers, but that sounds a bit creepy LOL how about fronds or fans? I do really like that effect too 🥰
Ok I will admit it...I poo poo most pours.... but this one is on another level... if I thought I could recreate it I would def do it.
You could!! You'll never know unless you try ❤
@Jo Jo are you game? I'll do it again if you give it a try too 😉❤ you can do it!
@@MinaVillegasArt I think I need more practice....lol... I will get back with you... in a year or so...LOL

Could we see a gray toned piece? Think that would be nice on a light gray wall .

Use it in a straight pour, it will work and make clouds
Thank you Julie! 🥰
@@MinaVillegasArt my smart phone is so stupid sometimes. Hahaha I meant to say that goldens has a much better BLUE tint to it not BLA. Lol.

Hi Mina, did the Golden's mica dry clear? It's hard to tell in the final dried result. Love the discolicious music :)
Yes it did, looks like glitter 😁 I wish I had put more in lol
