As a writer, what lessons have you learned from reading J.K. Rowling books? How has she motivated you?

Simply because she never gave up. She came out of an abusive relationship as I have done.
She respects Lewis and Tolkien and many of her stories reflect this . Her works can be read by both children and adults with interest.
She respects Jane Austin , although Jane was not a writer of fantasy , she was a writer of detail and emotion.
Both Rowling and Austin added much comedy to their work. I like this.

She never met an adverb she didn’t like, but what a story. ✨🧙‍♀️✨

I saw a picture of a grid chart that Rowling made with all the separate plot lines that tracked their independent progress along the course of the book, apparently Joseph Heller did something similar for Catch-22. It seems like an interesting way to develop a story.

even neil stephenson said he used to read 90% and write 10% when he was writing Snow Crash. but on jk rowling, her style is so graceful and simple, her characters the plots, i mean simplistic but rich memorable characters. i read all her books!

The "ow" in Rowling is pronounced as in Bowie.... I'll get my coat.

That may be your preference and that's okay. But JK Rowling thinks differently. www.theguardian.com/books/video/2012/sep/27/jk-rowling-pronounce-name-video

I’m a “by the seat my pants” writer. Just like Jerry Jenkins.

Sorry, Jerry Jenkins will never be on my "respected author" list. You can pick far better writing role models.

when to stop rewriting ? ... my way is the more the scene close to the Irony the more its good ..

This is a good question, and a good answer if I understand you correctly. I have jokingly said that rewriting is like painting a room. You are never finished, you only decide to stop at some point. :-) Seriously, a writer should have a sense when the work is complete. We should never obsess over rewriting. Perfectionism is a disease, never a cure.

Could you maybe talk a little faster? 😴

Thank you for your comment. A few say I talk too fast, others too slow. Most don't comment either way. However, if you click on the gear icon below all videos, you'll see a "Playback Speed" option. You can make anyone speak faster or slower. Hope that helps.
