I have the Mason Live (Grand Auditorium) in the same collection coming to my door this Friday. Orangewood had a great 20% off sale. It will be my first acoustic so very excited. Been learning and playing electric for the last 9 months and thought I would give acoustic a try. Thanks for a great review.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure I'm playing it correctly since it was one of the first songs I learned and I didn't know what I was doing back then. 😂 But maybe one day!

Might be just me but I greatly prefer the sound and look of your orangewood guitar :D I really do l ike brighter jangly sounds with definition in it, all which it had. I thought the midrange came out a bit nasally in the Martin, but it does have a slightly more complex overtone as a plus. Great review, I've been meaning to buy one :)
Lol as I was editing this video, I realized how much more clearly the Orangewood rang out compared to my Martin. 🙈 But I suppose it was a bit of an unfair comparison since the Ernie Ball strings on the Brooklyn were brand new and the Martin strings on my 15M were at least a month old and played on. 👀 Either way, I've found that I really love finger picking on both of them and they both sound amazing! 🙌 Thanks so much for watching! 💕

Definitely a great beginner guitar and absolutely beautiful, especially at that price point. A Martin is in a different class though for sure. But you pay for it. I have two (Dred Jr. and D15) and absolutely love them. I like the more deep tones of Martin's though so a bit bias. lol
Totally get that - I love the warm tone that my Martin has as well. 🥰 But I'm so impressed with this Orangewood at such an affordable price! 🙌 An amazing starter guitar in my opinion. 👍

Tip: Don't get a "cutaway" or with electronics! They make and acoustic sound worst and why would yo uplug in an acoustic? Enjoy the natural tones! Stick to the basics...

I believe that when wood ages or played, the tone will change for the better! Also depends on finish thickness and scallop bracing, bone nut, etc.
