Draining My Flooded Dirt Track - Can This Cheap Dirty Water Trash Pump Do The Task?

Heavy rains flooded my dirt track in my field and made a undesired pond. I got a dirty water pump (aka "trash pump") to empty the pool of water so I can get back to having fun on the dirt track. This could be used to drain a flooded basement, pool, pond or act as an emergency sump pump. Here's me using my gas generator, waders, the trash pump and a discharge hose (plus a little sweat and time) to get the water drained. I forgot to ask what kind of pump you used. It looks small but to do the job it did, it must be powerful and I'm going to need one to empty my pool occasionally. Brand name if possible. thanks again.@@NaterTater

To deepen a reservoir or remove silt, you do not need to drain the lake. Silt, dirt and sand can be pumped out together with water using a motor pump using the Bagermaster suction nozzle

I was not attempting to deepen or remove silt. I was trying to remove water.

If you put the cord in the water with the pump, would the electricity leak into the water meaning would the water carry electricity? Appears the pump could handle some dirt too with the water?
