39yo now, planning on making the move in the end of June, early July 2023. I’ll take my military retirement and enjoy the stress free life. Dumping all my household goods now and shrinking my storage unit to the smallest possible. Done with the states.
You're making the right move. Did it but Relationship with a local woman soured so I returned and now intend to visit every state and all national parks, Canada and Alaska before returning to paradise.
Welcome to my country. I think I’m jealous cuz I’m still living here in the US even I’ve been living here for 33 years and loved this country but really stressful but my husband has 5 more years to retire but we already have plan to go back and live in paradise.
@@alice_agogo I guess some. My parents went back, my 2 sisiers and brother also my nieces wanna retire there. My nephew went back for vacation and didn’t wanna come back here, he’s been there for 6 yrs. Mostly of the people I know wanna retire there even my American office mates.
You did a good move dude. I was there 2 years ago and in a relationship that didn't work out so I came back to fulfill my wish to visit every state, national parks, Canada and ultimately Alaska before returning to the Philippines. Enjoy and take advantage of the great opportunity to reside there bro.
Thank you my friend. I thought about buying an RV and traveling United States before I did this but I’m very happy with my choice. You can live like a king here for pennies and it’s a very friendly English-speaking foreigners are treated well situation here, hurry back.

OK you left to avoid the fast paced stressful life in America. I moved to Thailand for essentially the same reason. I'm a retiree with plenty of income to live in the US but SE Asia but is much more relaxed. Part of that is just being physically distant from the US. In my case, because there is limited English language speaking in Thailand, it is a little like unplugging from social media. In a foreign country you are very much aware that the people around you just are not thinking about the crap going on in the US. But mostly it is the live for today relaxed culture. America is a great place to be to make money but once you've made it then it is worth the effort to give other places a serious look.
I agree 100% America is good for moneymaking unless you’re worth $100 million then go ahead and buy your beach house. But yeah, if you have the means to move and you can keep yourself going south east Asia is good for many many reasons

If you want slow pace life and less stress i think the place is siargao. Boracay is world class but its packed with tourist already like thailand in a way. Siargao is a little less expensive too.
I already pre-paid a year in Boracay and I absolutely love it. I love seeing all the gorgeous Tourist girls flying in every day. I’m too young for the slow paced, but I don’t like air quality in Manila but yeah, I’ll check it out for the future.

I left Beverly Hills after living in 90210 for 3 years at the age of 33 in 1988. Made 2 million from foreign employers over 25 years mostly from Tokyo and KSA but never worked over 25 hours a week or 8 months a year. Ten years. I just traded stocks. I love SE Asia and Japan. I have crossed the ocean 50 times.
boracay is a paradise, but the restos were a bit pricey (especially the beachfront area) though there are relatively cheaper ones outside boracay is truly a "perfect vacation place" (for short duration only) cebu, for me, is quite strategic it is closer to bohol, siquijor, negros, siargao, camiguin, bantayan, malapascua, sumilon and even boracay (mostly touristy areas) and there's alot more in cebu, you can ride a ferry or a fast craft and you arrived at the paradise destination after 2 hours or so plus, some medical facilities, media/technological infrastructure, modern amenities, big malls in cebu were now comparable to manila (unlike 3 decades ago) for me, cebu is a place that's not left behind in travel bug's list
I disagree Boracay’s home to me, but I can see how many would feel that it’s just a vacation place. I was there for three weeks didn’t wanna leave and now I’m going back immediately for a year. I met some guys that have been there for a decade, and they said it’s something you never wanna leave just walking on the beach all day riding my new bicycle from end to end of the island is the perfect life for me. I didn’t really like Cebu. I don’t need to be strategically near all these things like to just get somewhere that’s paradise and relax there. But to each their own. ♥️
@@JasperinthePhilippines yes, boracay is a paradise in itself cebu's bantayan island, malapascua island, moalboal and mactan island may have a bit of a boracay vibe, but not really close to that alona beach of panglao in bohol is closer to the boracay vibe, but a smaller version anda's beach of bohol may be comparable to boracay's, but not really close probably, general luna of siargao is closer to boracay in some sense, but i see siargao as "the little bali" of the philippines (minus the temples) paliton beach of siquijor is also not left behind in the race for me, cebu's sumilon island, leyte's kalanggaman island & camiguin island, may not be comparable to boracay, but they're laid back paradise islands that have "a world of its own" feel boracay has a "bgc vibe" that cannot be found or copied anywhere else in the philippines or southeast asia yes, it's like putting "bgc vibe" in the heart of an island, and that's boracay i understand why you love boracay so much 'coz that's how or what i feel for boracay, too
Thanks for choosing Philippines as your second home. Love watching your blog and talk about few places in the Philippines. Honestly I’ve never been in Boracay and BGC. Loving both places really a good choice and I’m glad you like both places for you to live permanently. Again thanks for loving our beautiful country. From Vegas🇵🇭🇺🇸
Also a reminder to those who want to retire in the Philippines. Consider also access to "good" healthcare facilities. And these are usually concentrated in the big cities. You will most definitely have trouble in the provinces and the small islands with regards to transport e.g. stroke patients would need to be airlifted from the islands to the big cities.
Thats what i told my Filipino friend ,who is currently working in Indiana in the medical field.he is planning to retire in an isolated islet in the Philippines.i asked him what will happen ,if he has a medical emergency.he responded “ if its one’s time to go,then so be it”.
I'm often amused that the American's that live abroad seem to need to include the qualifier to assure everyone that they still love their country and still feel its awesome. Never a need to do such, or else it isn't worth it just to assure those still stuck with the idea that top of the pyramid is the USA, and need to hear oaths sworn and allegiances affirmed to assert the idea of this. You are out there living your life on a level of freedom, affordability, and options you could not do at home. Many of us are oxen pulling the plow just to tread water with the high rate of living and the growing stress, expenses, and obligations we have either created or are obliged to account for. For folks that have found a way to actually spend their life living their life to their own benefit and advantage.. good on ya! No qualifiers necessary. At the 9-minute mark, you said it clearly. Find happiness. Live free. Lower that stress. Give that sigh of contentment and relief... let your belly out and put a cold beer on it while lounging on a chair with the sand between your toes!

Hey Jasper, really enjoyed your video and subscribed. You probably get tired of mentioning it but where are you staying for that $250 a month and or similar recommendations. A 57 yr old retiree who will visit twice then make the permanent move. Thanks George C.
Hi George, thank you so much for subscribing. My $250 places in Station three in Boracay Island And in Makati at jazz residences or air residences. You could probably get a small studio for 250- 300 if you look around. Very smart to visit first at least once for 30 days if not twice. 👍
If you wanna save more, go to Quezon City, it's cheaper modern and suburban vibes. BGC is expensive and it's just a 30 min ride with Grab (considering the traffic). Most locals would just visit BGC to party, the ones who stay there are usually who have jobs in the area. If you're not gonna stay in bgc most of the time anyway, it's a waste of money. Metro Manila (bunch of cities clustered together) is relatively small compared to the big cities of America. You can easily jump from one city to another at a fraction of a cost.
Love Boracay but as watching on your videos seems like the water have so many algae? Yes a lot of foreigner wants to live the Philippines i love my country....someday i am going back too ( retire)
@@JasperinthePhilippines I did came back to see my families almost 2 years ago but still pandemic and can't go nowhere except SM city in Iloilo City ❤️ now every thing back to normal.
Hey Jasper. Jorge South Florida.. I am feeling the same about the P.I. Going in November for the first time. If I really like it I will move there as well..Just came across your channel and subscribed..
Looks beautiful and peaceful and great price. My only issue would be food. I would probably need to go into a major town every couple weeks and buy some good food and maybe put them in the freezer.
Good for you lad, I keep telling that to my friend Roberto, he's 55yo, still bloody fuckn multiple. From gonorria to skin deseases, still chasing on w/ booz, girls & ladyboys, spending all his money in Thailand. Too bad I can't help him anymore. Bloody loyal & hardworking my wifeymom, great in love & in our farm, already we have 6kids, all smart & sporty 🇵🇭🇬🇧💕👍
I left the Philippines wen i was 26, migrated actually. Now am 65, i prefer to live in the US, my children and family are all here, my parents are buried here. I visit Philippines wen i want to but to live there nah....home is where your heart is.
Absolutely American dream is to come here with our American dollars most Filipinos in Filipinas love to come to my country and if you have all your family there and you’re in that situation I totally respect that all I had was my dad and my sister and they’re not gonna save me when I run out of money so I’m better off here
Okay good luck here in the Philippines no tornadoes no winter but we have floody weather actually you can create your own house some where(squatter)just like USA there so much homeless to live in simple life like you can do some contraction, fishing, farming, trading and so on you will live simply happy but you will miss your native town
But without the US and its stress and long hours, it's military service benefits, it's money making machine, no one would be living in the Philippines. It's that work and money making ability that got the expats to the Philippines in the first place. Those beaches and ocean look wonderful, but I have all that in Florida and the retirees here have a wonderful life. The only place I would visit is Vietnam, purely for the food , best in the world imo and the sweet people. Thank you for not dissing the US. It's done a lot of good around the world.
Oh, I live in Boracay, which is nothing like America but I do have a skyscraper here in BGC until October but yeah I love it. It’s a good place to transition for a spoiled American. Thank you for your comments for the algorithm.
I have two places here I’m Air bnbing them out when I’m staying at the other one. I am now monetized on RUclips I have crypto stocks and have items that I’m selling in the United States with the help of a family member and I have savings and credit lines.
Collaborate with US expat Mark who lives in Dumaguete . He'd love to interview you.☺👍 Can't recall the name of his YT channel tho. Good on you! Stay safe & well in the Phild. God bless .
As if you didn’t leave America. The places you want to live in and the conveniences you are looking for are basically all American. Why even bother moving to the Philippines if you want all that luxuries as a way of living there?
Exactly I was having a conversation with my new friend here in Boracay who’s been here for a decade and I was talking about BGC and you said why would you want to live in America in the Philippines and I said you know what you’re right I love this clean air & the beach walks. I also love that as soon as you walk away from the beach in Boracay, you’re in the real deal province level Philippines. I guess it was just because I was fresh out of America and I was like oh I could be comfortable here but I’m more than comfortable in Boracay and I love the beach to the poor areas inland.
Paid 170 for the year walked around for seven days straight getting told 65,000 50,000 45,000 for a 10 m² finally found something on station three had to pay the year upfront but it’s 170 so that’s about 14,100 a month so that’s about 250 bucks. It’s not anything fancy but it’s oceanfront basically and it is probably a bit larger than my BGC place. Just an old nice little place king size bed, great shower with the little Fossett to wash your feet off when you come in from the beach , bidet, kitchen fridge. I’m happy. If you just go there and you look hard enough you can find deals but yeah they’ll be having you thinking it’s 65,000 to live anywhere decent because you’re white and it’s a tourist destination.
are you sure these boracay videos of yours are new coz its kinda old videos. Boracay these days doesn’t look like that with all those algae like in your videos.
I just got back to BGC today about 30 minutes ago. Everything is shot in real time and they are definitely knew I’ve been there for three weeks straight shooting every day.

@@JasperinthePhilippines
yes, boracay is a paradise in itself
cebu's bantayan island, malapascua island, moalboal and mactan island may have a bit of a boracay vibe, but not really close to that
alona beach of panglao in bohol is closer to the boracay vibe, but a smaller version
anda's beach of bohol may be comparable to boracay's, but not really close
probably, general luna of siargao is closer to boracay in some sense, but i see siargao as "the little bali" of the philippines (minus the temples)
paliton beach of siquijor is also not left behind in the race
for me, cebu's sumilon island, leyte's kalanggaman island & camiguin island, may not be comparable to boracay, but they're laid back paradise islands that have "a world of its own" feel
boracay has a "bgc vibe" that cannot be found or copied anywhere else in the philippines or southeast asia
yes, it's like putting "bgc vibe" in the heart of an island, and that's boracay
i understand why you love boracay so much 'coz that's how or what i feel for boracay, too
♥️
Was there at that beach many years ago. Have not seen a better beach anywhere since
Best beach in the world.
@@JasperinthePhilippines and I'm from Sydney where there are gorgeous beaches all over the place 😀
Quest is a pretty nice hotel and Ayala Mall is just around the corner.
Yes 👍🏻 ♥️🇵🇭
Maka punta nga sa boracay soon, taga pinas ako pero sa mga vblog ko lang napapanuod ang ganda ng boracay😍
?
I'm from the Philippines but I never been to boracay hope next year when I go back home I could visit and see the beautiful island.
So beautiful many Filipinos & Filipinas tell me the same thing. Boracay and Palawan are the best. So nice.
Considering your stress levels going down alone, you've made a very wise decision.
Yessir
Thanks for choosing Philippines as your second home. Love watching your blog and talk about few places in the Philippines. Honestly I’ve never been in Boracay and BGC. Loving both places really a good choice and I’m glad you like both places for you to live permanently. Again thanks for loving our beautiful country. From Vegas🇵🇭🇺🇸
Yes maam
You only live once.....live it up!

👍🏻
Thats what i told my Filipino friend ,who is currently working in Indiana in the medical field.he is planning to retire in an isolated islet in the Philippines.i asked him what will happen ,if he has a medical emergency.he responded “ if its one’s time to go,then so be it”.
7more years for me here in va beach... cant wait . Be in bikol region have my house built already so just waiting the time
Very nice my friend
Boracay is where it's at!
Yes sir
👍🏻
A resounding yes. Poetry my friend 🙏

Hey Jasper, really enjoyed your video and subscribed. You probably get tired of mentioning it but where are you staying for that $250 a month and or similar recommendations. A 57 yr old retiree who will visit twice then make the permanent move. Thanks
George C.
I’ll be in Boracay most of the time at my place I just acquire their butt 500 bucks a month for BGC is fine for me
Love Boracay but as watching on your videos seems like the water have so many algae? Yes a lot of foreigner wants to live the Philippines i love my country....someday i am going back too ( retire)
Yes many algae. I love the Philippines. Come back soon ♥️🇵🇭

Great choice, thank you for the subscription my friend. I’m just finding my way. 👍🏻🇵🇭
You must live in the provinces though life wasn’t maybe your comfort zone but life was quite ,
Looks beautiful and peaceful and great price. My only issue would be food. I would probably need to go into a major town every couple weeks and buy some good food and maybe put them in the freezer.
Welcome.
Thank you 🙏
Good for you lad, I keep telling that to my friend Roberto, he's 55yo, still bloody fuckn multiple. From gonorria to skin deseases, still chasing on w/ booz, girls & ladyboys, spending all his money in Thailand. Too bad I can't help him anymore. I am now retired, coozing in a bambooparadise resort w/ my sexy tanned filipina wife, she was virgin 🙏I have her 1st. Bloody loyal & hardworking my wifeymom, great in love & in our farm, already we have 6kids, all smart & sporty 🇵🇭🇬🇧💕👍
Love it bro. Sometimes you gotta let people go let them do them.
I left the Philippines wen i was 26, migrated actually. Now am 65, i prefer to live in the US, my children and family are all here, my parents are buried here. I visit Philippines wen i want to but to live there nah....home is where your heart is.
Absolutely American dream is to come here with our American dollars most Filipinos in Filipinas love to come to my country and if you have all your family there and you’re in that situation I totally respect that all I had was my dad and my sister and they’re not gonna save me when I run out of money so I’m better off here
@@JasperinthePhilippines i understand. Have fun and stay safe. God bless. I am from Iloilo City.
@@josephineportante7400 very nice I have a place in Boracay where I’ve been spending most of my time
Okay good luck here in the Philippines no tornadoes no winter but we have floody weather actually you can create your own house some where(squatter)just like USA there so much homeless to live in simple life like you can do some contraction, fishing, farming, trading and so on you will live simply happy but you will miss your native town
Where do you think is the best area for me to create my own house?
Lived in Boracay for two months once...would never do it again.

Thanks bro 🙏🇵🇭
@@JasperinthePhilippines welcome bro what's your real name
Thanks bro. Jasper is my real name.
🤣
someday i'll be just like you bro lol
Yessir
You moved all the way to the Philippines to experience a faux America? Amazing 😂
Oh, I live in Boracay, which is nothing like America but I do have a skyscraper here in BGC until October but yeah I love it. It’s a good place to transition for a spoiled American. Thank you for your comments for the algorithm.
What does he do for money? I'm about to start college for school looking to find what to study so I can work abroad any suggestions would be helpful.
I have two places here I’m Air bnbing them out when I’m staying at the other one. I am now monetized on RUclips I have crypto stocks and have items that I’m selling in the United States with the help of a family member and I have savings and credit lines.

10 million pesos for a condo? Isn't that like $200k USD? NOT!
Like 180 currently and Yaddow rent for like 25 which is like 450 bucks or something the ROI doesn’t really make sense
Better off renting
@@JasperinthePhilippines Indeed.
What do you do for money?
What is your job? Where are you living and whats your age?
Did you say $250 a month?
yes
🤣🤣🤣 you're funny 😉
Thx
11:20 minutes of the video: "For $250 a month?" Is that what your rent is on Boracay Island? How did you pull that off?
Phuket or pattaya
Phuket
What are you on?
Excuse me?
What is your rental cost ?
Which one
Because there are a lot of FILIPINO SUBSCRIBERS... 😂

You keep mentioning beggars in the 🇵🇭 even in america there was beggars especially in their modern city new york ....
Facts 👍🏻
US 🇺🇸 beggars are just lazy drug addicts or mentally ill . Ph beggars are genuinely downtrodden
Yep, lots of beggars in every US city now.
👍
are you sure these boracay videos of yours are new coz its kinda old videos. Boracay these days doesn’t look like that with all those algae like in your videos.
I just got back to BGC today about 30 minutes ago. Everything is shot in real time and they are definitely knew I’ve been there for three weeks straight shooting every day.
I think it's algae season 'coz even the beaches on the north part of Cebu, has some algae on the shores
Yes ma’am
West is dead enjoy ph brother

i notice tons of algae? :(
Yep it's definitely not the best island in the Philippines for swimming, there are much better places for swimming then boracay...
Yes
Ok
All the feces from the hotels go through the sea. Feces is a favorite food of algae.
I have yet to go swimming but you will definitely see 10’s from all over the world swimming daily more than any other island. 🤣🤣🤣👍🏻🧜♀️🌊
