Love the music, and your setup. Just got the SQ64, looking forward to making some music with it. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes for your continued success, and fun with music.
Already have the Neutron and Crave . . . ordered the SQ64 2 days ago, then just happened across this video a few minutes ago . . . well, this is encouraging.
There is an absolute ton of functionality in the SQ-64, you'll keep coming across things you didn't realise it did, and be like 'wow, this is great!' Highly recommend it, Don't forget to do the latest software update 🙂. Happy noodling! 👍
Hi. It was a while ago that I had this set up, (things have moved on drastically since then) but if memory serves me correctly, I would have midi'd from sq64 to drum brute. Signalling a start stop.
Hi, would midi from ableton going thru the b 2600 into the neutron allow me to control the two synths via midi from ableton? almost like this video ? thanks
Hi there. Yes, I believe it would. I don't own the 2600 anymore, but as it has a midi thru, you'd go out of the computer, into the 2600, thru to neutron. Obviously different midi channels for the 2. Yep, fine. 👍
It certainly does beat digging the garden! SQ-64 is great. Only downside I would say is that unlike the Arturia BSP, you only have one knob for tuning steps. Would be nice to have more. Just sold the 2600 and am awaiting some Eurorack bits and bobs... and so it begins...
@@bertvdlast Hiya. So yes, I sold the 2600 because it was so large and there were a variety of things on the unit that I wouldn't have been using (for a while anyway). I wanted something more focused. So I have bought a couple TipTop Happy Ending cases, a Behringer Branins and a Behringer B110 with a B140 too (Envelopes and filter). Different to the set up in this video I also sold the Arturia Drumbrute and use Prok drums in VCV rack now, I find I can get the sound I want from Prok that I haven't found anywhere else and control over a delay on a snare for example is easy along with filtering. Additionally in the Eurorack set up I now have (see latest videos), I bought a Vermona Melodicer (sequencer). This is an ACE bit of kit that is currently linked up to the B110. I could if I wanted now, put this kit in my van and drive up on to the hills for a bit of jamming... I liked the sound of the 2600, and am considering getting just the Osc module for it, which can be bought separately.
Hey Doug, only just saw this comment. Thanks. Hope your experience of the SQ64 is as good as mine, I know some people find it slightly difficult to navigate, but it suits me down to the ground. 😃
@@TheScreamingFrog916 ordered him years ago, my son has one too. The company went bust, so they're difficult to get hold of now. DigitalDreamLabs maintain things with them now I think.
is the drumbrute able to be triggered by track 4 on SQ64. Ive had my SQ for a year now and want to replace my VS2 for another drum machine but needs to intergrate with SQ64. If not any suggestions ?
Hi Adam. I'm not sure to tell you the truth. I don't have the DrumBrute anymore. The SQ64 can send out normal midi on that track 4. I can't remember if the DB picks up midi messages to play individual drums or not. I guess that's what you are asking. I don't think it does does it? I would have just put the sequence into the DB and as you can guess, play from the SQ64 triggered a play on it. If you can link up the DB to a pc sequencer and trigger individual drums, then I would say yes. If not, no.
I don't yet have a second one, (I am thinking of getting one) but I would say you could yes, using the 'sync' port on the back. Or using the midi ports.
I couldn't say. I haven't tried a beat step pro. But, I do like the fact that the BSP has knobs to turn. Does it have one less sequencer track than the SQ-64?

@@jugs0101 Good so far - I think the 2.0 firmware improved it hugely from some semi-negative initial reviews. I love it!

sweet sounds. I was transported to 101 festivals of days gone by. One question, does robot bulldozing your Neutron invalidate the warranty?
😆totally, although the robot (Vector) is secretly controlling everything there. It just looks like I vaguely know what I'm doing.🐐
