9:20 this demonstrates two things of note. 1. The spawning mechanics weren't quite as worked out as today. (Sure, they didn't spawn in your sight, but it's still a COD level cheese spawn.) 2. How the HK spawning seems to work on a heat system. When you hit loot all, you grabbed a LOT of value all at once, crossing the threshold for HK's to be dispatched. You did everything right there, found an isolated location, sealed the entrances and then looted. Still, for an Alpha, things are going pretty good. Heck, I got to see some new routing from your video. I often find myself reminded these game devs don't invisible wall you off form areas, especially vertically. The whole bit where you climbed on the crashed helicopter? That area I had mentally sectioned off as impassable, because in so many games it would be.
I couldn't agree more, getting near-zero limitation of movement is actually so much fun! I recorded these videos with extra focus on "how SHOULD the game be played?"

The game sure is janky and needs polishing but goddamn, it's a masterclass on world building and tension.
The atmosphere is like none other, that's for sure!!
