for the record, at the start of the video, I think your video quality is good enough to enjoy
Really good explanation of ISO and ASA and how to approach 3D shoots (and individual targets). Good stuff, brother!
Nate, your enthusiasm for 3D and your articulation of the thought process behind every shot was fascinating. Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely! Thanks for tuning in!
A really well done explanation. If the newbie’s will take heed hopefully they won’t leave any points on the table.
Great video Nate!
I never considered all of that strategy in the shot. Thanks!
Always enjoy your videos thanks for sharing it definitely builds confidence in the hunting woods
A lot of great info! I love your sight setting form. I've never seen the "Crossover" technique before. Good video Sir!
Thanks for all the tips, I will try to utilize them at the club 3d league tonight.
Hc ibo have to have screw-in points. Asa women's pins 30 is max 23 series arrow 260 fps speed limits. AHC in the ibo you can shoot glue in points. I think thats about it. Most classes dont have arrow limits anymore. Id love to see all hunter classes have to use a stand arrow .246 and smaller with screw in points. But honestly ive shot 27s & 26s and 23s.. if you dont make them fly right the arrow size means nothing
I just have to say how disappointed I am....that I'd have to drive 8 hours to visit your shop that is! I'm getting deep into archery and trying to do all the work on my bow and setup that I can. All your tips on things that can throw off your shot like grip, wrist position to building arrows, calibrating my Bitzenburger. I'm slowly making my way through your content. Thanks for taking the time to help us help ourselves. Your discussion on the Ashby studies/research were great. I've read most of them but it's a lot to digest. Appreciate your insights and thoughts.
Glad I could help and thanks for watching!
I also am left eye dominant but shoot righty. Always wanted to try a lefty bow. I actually shoot rifles and shotguns lefty. Lol
You should try it! I am left eye dominant and bought a left handed Mathews Tactic just to try if I could shoot Lh and I shoot better than RH. I shoot both now.
@@Arrowhacked Dude that's awesome. I've been collecting some older Mathews bows. I'll have to get one in lefty.
Nate, can explain a set up for pins 30 class. I'm shooting a traverse and shooting a 3 pin sight. my question is how would u set up ur pins?

Good info thx nate
Any time!
I get so used to everyone on RUclips holding 4 and 5mm arrows that the one you're holding looks like a pool cue. 😉
I just watched an older video of yours called "cut the fluff" and I bought a compound bow the Junxing M109 bow a couple of years ago (I had also seen reviews of the bow by 'Joerg Sprave' and 'Archery Supplies' on youtube where they both ended up being impressed by the bow) and I was impressed by it after trying it for around 60 shots, it seemed to have pretty descent accuracy and was comfortable to use in spite being a cheap basic setup, however I went to join an archery club in the UK and they seemed to feel I should be shooting a recurve as they would be able to give guidance more easily as that is what they are familiar with. Personally this annoyed me as I have shot before although it was some time ago and I do not want to shoot recurve, what do you think I should do? I am only shooting for fun and being UK it's target archery only.
Someone telling you that you shouldn't shoot what you already own for archery equipment (unless it's damaged or unsafe to shoot) is absolutely asinine. Shoot your compound. Enjoy it. If they don't want to teach you, watch people on RUclips like me, George Ryals or John Dudley. A good coach is a click away and free. 👍
@@averagejackarchery Thanks for quick reply and I'm glad to hear you say that :)
You running a lens ?
Yup. Like I say in the video I run 4X.
You say several times you shoot decent scores. So if 300 is even, where are you? Really like your videos too. Thanks
IBO will rip a person to shreds. First course of this year I shot 8 up to go 308. Second course shot 14 down with a 286. Two 5's really hurt in IBO. Almost impossible to climb back. In my IBO class of MBO, it is not uncommon for only the top 2-4 guys out of 40-50 shooters score Up after 40 targets. It's a really brutal game compared to the ASA.

Nate with an Eight!
Gotta get you those gold tip 33s
Just my opinion, but I don't care/think you need to explain your production of the video. Nobody (probably) is judging which mic you use or your exposure, saturation etc. etc. Just here for the content not to grade your video production 🤷
It's a fun way to introduce a video! But also, the number of people that have plenty of crap to say when audio isn't ideal or the coloring is off is actually pretty appalling.
@averagejackarchery Well, if it's "fun" to you, then who am I to say, I guess.. just noticed it on multiple videos, and thought I would reassure you that the majority (probably) of us watching don't notice, or if we do, don't care about this looking like a Michael Bay production. I wouldn't personally worry about people complaining about petty stuff like that, I'm sure you have better things to worry about (constructive criticism aside).
@enjoygodscreation4526 I do enjoy the videos. Content creators should be eager to receive constructive feedback, otherwise, they're just making videos in a vacuum with no idea how their target audience is being engaged. I actually almost made that comment too " Dammed if you do or don't ", but if it's something he feels the "need" to address because of a petty minority, I say let them be petty and ignore them. Of course, he's free to ignore these comments as well.
