I have scoliosis. I have high arches. I have a pelvic tilt. My femur is in Internal rotation. Life is great!!!! Seriously... I thank God that I know it could be worse. .God bless all of you!
I have a serious of problems like you do. I have a sway back posture that is hard to get rid of. My center of mass is forward my whole life. My rib cage cannot expand too much. This mess up my breathing mechanics and gives me anxiety.
I can’t believe that just found out how my pain comes from the lateral right side of my body from hip to toe they keep giving me different opinions and exercises that never work because they weren’t addressing the right issues. I have pain from hips to toe including glutes, tailbone, tight hamstrings and the worst the pain in my legs and feet I got tired very easily and I just learned that I am breathing wrong that means I am a completely messed because my whole body is is affected I don’t even know how to start. The road ahead is long but at last I found the meaning of all my pain thank you so much for sharing
This is one of the most concise and clear explanations that connects all the dots. As another commentator stated, this describes my life in 5 minutes. What shoes and socks, gear etc should we wear for this supinated foot/wiggly ankle/posteriorly tilted body?
@@conorharris so should we put paper napkins on both archs or just the right? i also have PRI shoes from 2021 Come to think of it i also rolled my right ankle very badly playing soccer in highschool [ some 16 years ago]
Wow this video was really helpful, im a soccer player with an extremely high arche im trying to go pro for my national team but the high arch is limiting me a lot, this explains it
I’ve been researching and watching videos about this condition for 5+ years. This is the best explanation and insightful description I’ve seen. I have very high arches with extremely tight plantar facia but have had no luck with the typical cures. I’m optimistic about these exercises, starting today! How often do you recommend? Thank You 🙏
Great info. I have high arches. I'm a competitive athlete (soccer) and have worn orthotics for years but now I'm really focusing on weaning off them. What do you recommend/ think?
Thank you very much for this video! I have a very high arch and low support from the midfoot which tends to point my feet inside. I wear foot insoles to compensate this problem. My question to you is, is it good to also wear inside shoes with it, and then try this exercises when i have them off? Balance is the key
I think I have this. My ankles compensate I think, so I my arches are high while I walk/run, but my ankles "pronate". I've done a shit tonne of excersices, about 30 min to 1 hr a day! (Stuff like balance, short-foot, heel raises, toe yoga etc). I'm also always most tired in my calves, on the inside after running.... So it's not like it's not an issue. Usually run 100 k/w.
Fantastic video Conor! I think it is super important to empower people who struggle with foot issues because they are so disempowered unfortunately by modern podiatrists on the whole. Also, would add let's get that tib anterior ripped and do some talus mobs to really open up the mortise joint and get that calf to chill out!! Awesome stuff, can't wait to see more!
Hello! I think I’m the case you discribed with anterior pelvic tilt, internal rotation of femur, but external rotation of the tibia( bow leg). Would doing these exercises help fix my bow leg? And also would wearing pri approved shoes help? Thank you so much for your awesome videos !
I didn't walk with the feet pointing out, because I was taught to not do it, so instead I walked with the outside metatarsals and smaller toes, that apparently developed into a styloid process in the fifth metatarsal; I certainly walked with the legs rotated, though. In my case I was forced to use really old school orthopedic leather boots, that tampered me.
Awesome video as always! Can you make a video on improving winging scapula, strengthening scapula exercises, something like that. Greatly appreciated 🙌
My heel walks right off the inside of certain shoes. Can't wear flipflops at all because they twist sideways too. Now I have horrible knots in my psoas/hip flexors and my right side glutes have completely atrophied. My feet don't point out in a V at all tho. Lots of ankle sprains over the years and I had to have an ankle reconstruction surgery at one point.
Great information and exercises. I have high arch with heel varus (Heel twisted inwards a bit). I have been having pain around both ankles since few months now. I am also overweight. Would these exercise help to strengthen my feet?
Hello, I have a question but I'll describe my body problems first. I recently found out that I have high foot arches. Other things that I have: knock knee, anterior pelvic tilt, diastasis recti and some extra curved parts of my spine, especially in the lower back. So, where do I start from? Thank you in advance! ❤️
I forgot to mention that six months ago I had a bad ankle sprain, it's getting better but isn't fully recovered yet. My ankle still hurts when trying extension or flexion.
Hi Conor! I have insanely high arches and a history of ankle injuries from gymnastics. I can never find shoes with enough arch support for my feet when standing all day at work. When i get home, everything from my hips to my heels aches. Would doing these exercises barefoot be beneficial or cause more problems?
great video. my right foot is high arched, recently i got a partial tear in the semimembranous tendon behind the knee. could it be related to my high arch?
I have horribly high arches. Getting nice shoes to fit is almost impossible! I did used to walk with my feet out, but as a child my mother always scolded me for doing it, so now I don’t. I did start going over sideways and wearing the outer side of the soles of my shoes unevenly, for which I also got scolded. I’m guessing that was maybe because I had to force myself to walk with my feet in! It’s better now, but at 46 I still wear my shoes down a little unevenly on the outer sides
I have pes Cavus & my left foot arch collapsed several years ago. I can't walk without orthotics because my knees now ( at least the left one) cave inward. How can I strengthen that pes Cavus collapsed arch? All I've been told is, wear your orthotics.
I have a really bad case of patellofenoral pain syndrome from overusing the stair master at the gym. I think my high arches/duck feet played a role in it
Can strength in the muscles of the upper leg/hips offload weight from the feet ? And can stretching the arches cause them to pronate over time ? I’m pretty sure my arch on my left foot can’t pronate regardless of form
Hey Conor. I’ve got patellofemoral pain/ patella subluxation. This video explains a ton! I’ve got Externally rotated hips/ tibias / femurs. Then when I try to change direction my kneecap is getting pulled into places it can’t access. You think focus on pronation is important? Anything else I should focus on? (Poor hip ir/tibial rotation)
Ok high arch, but when you do the exercises you wear shoes, does the shoes soles effect the exercises? I know some shoe sole compensante the high arch inside.... So basically the exercise goals to make us flat footed? 😀
Hi Conor, I run in college and I’m doing around 65 miles per week now. When I went shopping for a new running shoes the salesperson suggested I should get an insole for people with high arch. I’ve never used one before and the shoe actually feels so mouth better with the insoles. Do you think I should use them or is it better to not use them?
If it works, it works. I would keep using it if you feel it is truly beneficial. Sometimes giving our brains a sense of something to pronate into can be quite helpful.
I have high arch foot and this became more problem to me because my calves became so tight and the front tigh muscle is so tight too..this develop me hip and back pain that leads me to urinate all the time... I feel so depress now...all i wanna do is stop walking so i wont develop tightness in my muscles...that only leads me to urinate all the time ..
Is it normal for me to have sharp medial malleolus pain on the afflicted foot when I try to pronate/dorsiflex while standing? My foot has been stuck like this for 5 years
Had a doctor surgically "fix" my arches when I was around 10 & 11. They ended up growing back and giving me excessive scar tissue on my sole. Wish he just taught me these exercises
I do a deep asian squat and place a 30lb dumbbell on my knee to increase dorsiflexion and reduce the arch on a regular basis. Does this activity pose any harm or is helpful for increasing dorsiflexion and reducing arch ? Thanks
What should I wear when heavy weight lifting such as deadlifting and squatting. to be able to lift off on my whole foot, as opposed to the edges of my feet. I currently wear flat vans. But my arches are an obstacle.
What worked for me. Do hip internal rotation before this because it doesn’t matter if you are going over your toes if it’s jammed due to poor hip ir. So this video first : ruclips.net/video/JOJ7eMJhrqs/видео.html Then do what he is saying in this video. I am not an expert and don’t claim to be. Just stating what worked for me. Conor is amazing!
I have uneven foot arch. I'm not joking. My right foot is the same as the picture. And my left am not sure if flat or just normal. My hips or pelvis on my right always hurt. My right knee always kinda gets a stiff neck(most similar exp , it happened on my knee ) and I couldn't move it. My right toe also doesn't have a joint, its just a fat bone. Am still a broke student (parents no work) who can't afford to get it checked.
Update hehe. Now im working and I actually have chondromalacia patella and bone cysts on my right knee and tenosynovitis on my right ankle due to tons of sprain. Which the doctor confirmed its from the high arch. This video is amazing and I suggest find a good good ortho doctor. Cause lots of orthos are ehem footy. Will update again :)
With how the video explains heel strike… It’s unnatural. Forefoot strikes the ground 1st. Basically to test the ground to insure no sharp stones or twigs before putting your full weight on the foot. Try running barefoot your body will only allow you to go a few yards before it forces you to switch to a forefoot strike. Heel striking is unnatural.

this literally explains my entire life what the heck
mine too! My arches are a pain in my ass!
Exactly, I can’t remember how many times I twisted my ankles.
That is just what I was thinking!
Mine too. Very informative video ❤
Mine too.

Thank you, this literally explains why im always stretching my foot a certain way to feel my nerves working the way they should
This is one of the most concise and clear explanations that connects all the dots. As another commentator stated, this describes my life in 5 minutes. What shoes and socks, gear etc should we wear for this supinated foot/wiggly ankle/posteriorly tilted body?
I would look into the PRI shoe list. Google "PRI shoe list 2020". First link
@@conorharris I got it. Thanks!
@@conorharris so should we put paper napkins on both archs or just the right? i also have PRI shoes from 2021 Come to think of it i also rolled my right ankle very badly playing soccer in highschool [ some 16 years ago]
I have used vionics for more than 5 yrs now ...its really hard to work when I haven't encountered this footwear

Seriously appreciate that comment! I would start with 3-5 sets a day
Did you get any good results, please update.
This is me! 😅 I’m doing this! Thank you, Conor!
Please update about your resulta or experience doing the exercises, nobody gives an update, I think its a bad sing.
Can you provide an update? Seems no updates so no luck with this...
I have this problem and this is a good video. Thank you!
How long would be ‘normal’ for the exercises to make a change to the gait cycle and to foot function please? Thank you 🙏
Need an updated version of restoring some pronation to high arched feet!!

For YEARS, no, DECADES I’ve wondered why I couldn’t bend normally. I thought it was my calves this whole time. Where was this video all my life?!
what type of kleets do you recomend for soccer players? if they have a massive arch? for my running shoes I have new balance

You should consider custom insoles for your high arches!

Please kindly 🙏 🙂 make a content on Fixing Foot Gripping 🙏
I shorten Medial Arch
Is Foot Gripping due to High Arch Feet?
Hi Connor but what could be the reason of HIGH arches BUT Posterior Tibialis tendon inflammation? Doesn't Come PTTD from overpronation?
Dorsaflexion and pronation are intertwined ✨👌 i need to pronate my cavis feet via dorsaflexion
Any hacks or excercises to feel the left heel? Also have you seen the "blackboards" for feet mobility, what do you think of them?

Is it possible to fix the midstance phase through wearing ankle weights barefeet on a flat surface and walking a little?
Thank you for your content.
My pleasure!
What if it's a genetic thing and not caused by injury? Can things be changed? It feels like a bone thing not a muscular thing in my feet

It's quite individual, but if your feet aren't a total mess, flats are great.
Does pes cavus affects your height ?
High arch can be normal or not
Thoughts on this with posterior tibial tendontis, along with some other issues upstream at the hip n knee?
Damn, still nothing, so hard to find out what a good apporach is with PTTD and some issues at the hip
I have this plus knee valgus extreme pain
I have wicked high arches and my balance is wacky. My calves are wicked tight.

Bruce Lee had excessive high arches could explain his injuring his sacral nerve whilst performing a good morning exercise.
Seeing this as a flat foot

This is not supported comment but u was in hell walking before...I've used vionics footwear for almost 10 yrs now...
My left foot... After injury... Shit.
Holy crap idk why this is hard for me to understand
