There will be lot of thriller, crime dramas wch disappear without getting popular, But if it romcom people watch it no matter how many years it passes or how bad it is.... Bcs even Average romcom kdrama will help lot of people stay entertained and happy, it's not just abt romance, it's abt saving ourselves from the harsh realistic world.... That's why I love kdramas the more unrealistic they are.... And I feel sorry for those people who always ask for realistic dramas when all our lives are already realistic af....

This is the first time that I have watched 정성일 act. His character Ha Do Yeong seems to be a man typically set in his ways. He likes the fact that he can predict outcomes, his position in life means he will be in charge; in business and marriage all predictable. Meeting someone with an air of mystery intrigues him, and draws him in to want to know more. Her initial lack of acknowledgment of him stirred up his predatory nature.
The dilemma he now faces is the antagonism between his wife and this mysterious woman (Moon Dong-Eun). This dilemma gives his superficial wife an edge he was unaware of previously, will this darkness intrigue or repel him? He is a man that would protect his wife, however, he has become aware of how close his wife and her male friend are. Suspicion is cancerous in any relationship. What will he do when his suspicion is confirmed? Equally, he's been lied to and cheated on, and the child he raised as his own is not his?
The tension in this drama is on another level and I really enjoyed watching and thinking about the possible outcome of this drama. Jung Sung II's performance is great, and I'd like to see him in more substantial roles. His facial expressions are amazing, something I don't see a lot of in actors, he totally made this character shine.

Dong Eun's wanted to be an architect before dropping out of school. She is a teacher now, but ahe is still the architect of her revenge plan. An architect creates designs the blueprint. An architect needs the support of a contractor or construction company to build that design. Doyoung happens to run a construction empire. Don't know about you all, but I see the connection here.

There's just something electric when he looks at her, the passion and intensity from his gaze alone is enough for me to actually ship them i- 😭
While I wish they could end up together because their chemistry is palpable, I foresee a twist coming because his character is way to gray right now. I think we're building towards a revelation and I'm here for it! Some of the best characterization I've seen in a drama to date. It's like the writers give us just enough about him to keep us hooked while distracting us with the main plot...soo good.
He married a woman for looks and influential background. he is not looking for soulmate; that is for sure. When he was attracted to our protagonist; that can be midlife crisis. he he he!

I doubt he wants to lose his current status in life based on how he treats others so I don’t see him joining the cause. He is very calculating himself so he’ll definitely make sure he comes out of this smelling like roses somehow. A very cultured, handsome bastard as the writer hints at😏😉

It is more of him seeing life in a wider perspective, like wondering how a pretty woman so smart enough to defeat seasoned players of Go, realizing how this woman, seems to be the only woman among the players of the game he is so fascinated could even outsmart and defeat him. Her honest and direct answers like she backstabbed men...., gambling is fun, but dangerous, her not being caught of his bait of a bigger amount for another round of game after she defeated him,...I think these awakened his interest that wow, here's a woman not interested of superficial material things. Mong Dong Eun is like a different dish he hasn't tasted yet. And he likes to try it. Ha ha ha!

I don't think that it's a midlife crisis at all for multiple reasons.
The thing that killed me and amazed me to the point of intoxication was his looks at her! Looks of intense admiration and even more curiosity, and when her eyes meet his,something happens to him,he breathes slowly, but his heart is beating fast, and he looks at her with his eyes fixed on hers, without breaking the eye contact. He is a strong man with influence, status, and a solid personality
,but he looks for her and waits for her.and when she defeated him at his favorite game,she challenged him and showed him her intelligence( and she is gorgeous!)
She bewitched him,He wanted to be with her in a romantic love story, but that did not happen because of her revenge plan.perhaps in the future she will return to him because of all this wild chemistry between them!

Look how he doesn't want his wife's friend badmouthing about her, and how he treated his driver with the wine, he was angry but adjusted his emotion quickly " Take this wine and you will know (you are inferior) , the driver just forgot to hold umbrella for him. It's rather interesting what he will do to protect himself, as he has a strong sense of class consciousness...
and remember what his wife's friend told the other friend about him...sth like he is like me but it is well hidden

@@ClaireJ4 he let him take the wine and recommended that he'll buy the cheap one he normally drinks and taste the difference basically his way of telling the driver im high-class and ur cheap and below me so don't forget to hold the umbrella next time.

I don't think it will end up the way most of us expected it to be. Seems like he cares about his wife and his family as much. And he's a proud person. I don't think he will easily be on Dong Eun's side. It will just be a fling, but when it's time for him to choose, it will be his wife. And Dong Eun, oh how I wish she will win the life stake gambling. She deserves justice, and her bullies deserve their lesson as well. It will give hope to people who were or are bullied, that somehow bad people will get punishment. Please don't let them get away easily.
