Synthwave/Retrowave is the term for it, but you can also listen to 80s music from the actual 80s - both choices work because they're great. You have a good taste! Look up Sebastian Forsland (Guitarist and Percussion on most of this album) he has some songs under the category of "metal, rock music" that you might really enjoy.

Typically look to Nuclear Blast for the metal, but this 80's vibe does speak to me. Was a teen in the 80s and loved the new wave sound and this just brings that all right back. Even the video has that 80's vibe going on.

I love the reference to ELO; Electric Light Orchestra as the names sound very similar. This song has a very 80s feeling to it, and since synthwave is one of my favorite genres, usually you don't hear vocals in the songs, so this is what gives it this charm. It also sounds like the vocals were recorded from the 80s and are being used as a vocal track to the song. I love everything about it.
Not to mention their singer is one of the best death metal vocalists, lol. Bjorn Strid can't do any wrong!
