It's just scripted, and not real. Movie theater attendants never bust anyone sneaking food in movie theaters. I know because I have done this before(even snuck a few soda in my bag) back in San Diego, but never got caught. The only way someone would be caught by an attendant is if they have a weapon(IE a gun or knife) in the movie theater planning to assault an innocent bystander, harassing others or various criminal activities.
The reason the Owen was caught wasn't because he was sneaking food in the theater, but rather he lied about being a senior citizen just to get in for a discounted price. He tried to throw his little brother, Mikey, under the bus, but the manager wasn't fooled and told him that he had to leave.

It's honestly more immoral on the theater's part for being that inconsiderate of people's financial situations. Growing up with not a lot of money I don’t see anything wrong with sneaking food into a theater. It’s not like you are stealing… and sometimes this is the only way parents can treat there kids out on things like their birthday.

Im british and its so weird for this to be a rule to me. we can bring in our own popcorn and drinks (most cinemas are in malls (or high streets as we call it) and near my cinema there's a popcorn stand where people get popcorn from there. its less than what you can get in the cinema but its also cheaper too. Also people bring their own bottles or cans of drink. People can bring their own sweets and all that too but its not common at least for what ive seen.

I've watched about 24 movies, and I've snuck some snacks into every one of them. There's nothing wrong with sneaking candy into movies, as everything is overpriced. Like wth, 10 dollars for a bag of chips when I can get that for 1 dollar at the supermarket. I would like to respectuflyl disagree as the devil once went down to georgia lookign for some souls to steal, he was in a bind and was willign to make a deal. Seriously,there's fr nothing wrong with sneaking candy(or just any food) into the theater. I've been 3 times or 4 into the theater and the 1st time my mom,my sister and me wanted to buy chips and when they told us a bag of chips costed 10$ mom said:"Oh shoot,we only have 6$". So we left and during the movie we ate food from the supermarket. Great video anyways!

People will say Mikey learned his lesson here, but he doesn't. Sure Mikey is less of a troublemaker here than he was previously. But right when he says "He finally understands the lesson he's been taught over and over again" his brother convinces him to just keep going with Mikey brushing off what he had just learned with an "Okay" and a head shrug. 8:19- 8:28 So he still continues to try and sneak in moments after he seemingly came to that realization.
