But the principal (Mrs. Danvers) surely would have seen the footage on her surveillance camera. And Mikey's lie got Eddie in trouble. But Eddie said that he did not cheat and Mikey did. So this resulted Mikey to repeat fifth grade twice.

So the two students to actually return their diplomas was Mikey Miller AND Mike Hernandez. You want to know why? Indeed, when she watched the video, Mikey lied the blame on Eddie Valentino. And Eddie almost got in trouble for cheating. But Eddie said that he did not cheat and it was Mikey. So Eddie was most definitely telling the truth all along. Mikey (on the other hand) had a rotten summer. Because in addition to taking fifth grade twice, summer school, and being grounded from his Xbox and tablet, he was forced to do after school detention for the first week of September.
