Some also called it slav squat. Generally the people from the east past of the world usually can do it because they're used to do it and their descendants usually also can. Perhaps because it was generational habit and our gene just added that to genetic ability. The people in the west usually don't have this habit of squatting even since a long time ago so they struggled to do it for most part. If you can do that and you lived in the west, either you have Slavic or eastern European gene (if you're white), or Asian descent. 🤔
They have a different way of doing it you can’t really tell but they don’t bend their toes. Look at their feet and see if you can do that it’s extremely hard.
As an Asian myself, I can confirm that not everyone even Asians can do the Asian squat with both feet flat on the ground. I swear whenever I do the sit like this, my toes are pointed with my heels up in the air. And once I tried to make my heel touch the ground, I end up falling backwards. 😅

It doesn't have to do with height per se, but your body proportions do play a part. It's easier to balance like that if you have long legs compared to your torso. But mostly it has to do with the length and flexibility of your achilles tendons
Not everyone has the same Achilles tendon length, some just never have done it, bad balance, lack of stretching etc. Or some people just have issues doing it regarding joints and muscles.

It's possible to stretch the achilles tendons and calves so you can squat with your feet flat, but it takes time and effort, like any stretching. So unlike her tutorial suggests, it's not that people just don't know how to get to the position, it's about their physiology not allowing it. It's like telling a person who can't do a split that they just need to slide their legs in opposite directions, instead of showing them stretches to increase their flexibility.

It has to do with how long your Achilles’ tendon is, most non Asians have a naturally shorter one which is why many can’t do the squat
As a Native American I can do this just fine.
Technically it’s got nothing to do with ethnicity, it just matters if you have good balance and long Achilles tendons but go off-

I think it helps to have a smaller body weight so it wont weigh u down. Like the bigger the thighs and butt, the more backwards ur gonna go.

Another “Asian Posture” some people find difficult to do is the Folded legs or lotus pose, and I found it weird because as an Asian we literally sit down in those poses everyday on the ground while eating meals. And I thought everyone could do that.
