Your review of the butter chicken was very interesting. I was on the ship a couple of weeks ago, in an Aurea cabin. Had butter chicken one day for lunch in the Marketplace Buffet - best Indian I’ve had on a cruise ship, by far. The sauce had incredible flavor and spice. Personally I’m an “Indian hot” type but I found this dish delicious. It must be that the chef in YC didn’t have the touch!

We stopped cruising during the pandemic plus my husband didn’t want to get the vaccines, so we have to wait until everything is opened up without Covid19 vaccination requirements

This is a pretty fair account of MSC food, As a regular cruiser on this line I am well satisfied with the range and standard of the offerings aboard all the MSC ships, It is quite possible to not enjoy something that many others would really love to eat. If it is a question of taste, some bloggers will criticise the food just because they are poor pickers! and of course there are cruise snobs and there are bloggers that need the click bait of controversial comments to get views. I do eat out a lot, and one thing I don’t quibble about is the cost of a good meal, I also like to holiday abroad and l have stayed in good hotels, none compare with the value and the generosity of the dining of a cruise.ship, (or the champagne and wines in the package ( premium extra)that accompany it), lovely!

I was on the Meraviglia YC this time last year. Each night the food was so bland i sent it back, sometimes the replacement entree was bland as well so I sent it back too. It the end I was eating fries and a burger. This leads me to believe that the chef is not a chef but rather a crash coarse given cook that knows nothing about seasoning. In contrast I was on the Divina where the cook came out and introduced himself to YC guests during the evening meals. Those meals were amazing !
I'm a fan of MSC and the Yacht Club. If you can get an inside cabin the value is amazing for the price. I am going on my fourth YC cruise for my birthday in a week and a half, and a fifth for my wife's birthday in December. It is everything that the NCL Haven USED to be, at a better price point.

Hi Shirley. The Yacht Club is a special area of the ship, with its own Lounge, Restaurant, pool deck etc You pay extra to have a suite in this section. Many MSC ships have the Yacht Club, especially the newer ships. Thanks for watching as always, I appreciate it. David
Hello and thanks for watching. I’ve been told the best YC is on the MSC World Europa. However, if you choose any of the newer ships, it will be great. Personally, I love the YC Setups on the Seaside, Seashore and Seascape.
Loud kids in the background is far from the calm I would like on a cruise. Paying for a Yacht Club to be away from loud obnoxious people just to have unruly kids is not my idea of a vacation. This is why I cruise with Virgin Voyages.
It looks good I have to ask myself can I eat the food while the ship is in motion ,there a difference when I started driveing cars I didn't stop at all at the drive through an buy food ,you have all kinds of critics
Indian butter chicken isn't meant to be spicy. Your low score for this I think is unwarranted. As other low scores because they gave you too much or because you ordered everything to be brought together is also untrue reflection. I agree the meals in YC can be bad, we only cruise YC on msc (about 21 cruises in YC) so we have a better overall experience than you have. We also use the retreat on celebrity and find that much worse than MSC YC. Please don't lessen a score if its your fault.
What you always be wondering about is treachery ,they closed my ships down then had a nerve to take my ship as if have someone else take over what I paid for or build myself which they couldn't do
This critic had shut my business down ,one reason I didn't make such a fuss why I wasn't getting social income or they could slow your business down less passenger or no workers
Seaside failed the health inspection in April with the lowest score available..probably didn't give the inspector a free meal... Leaving next week. Wish me luck

I was on the MSC melody 25 years ago..11 days of small island communist type countries..best cruise ever..Anna was the chief purser..I was allowed up on the bridge everyday and became friends with the montenegro 🇲🇪 communications officers.. All Italian crew with pretty good food..
I love your foodie episodes. I think your coverage of MSC has been extremely fair. Some people seem to go in with a pre bias against it.

Really recommend you try Oceania. Similar prices, but fantastic food.
