Thanks for this video, it was very helpful. And about the in-flight food service. When flying, the human tastebuds make food taste bland when you are in the high in air which is why you feel like it tastes bad so that is normal for flying

According to the EVA Air Website, you get 30mins of complementary web browsing, (which is absolutely nothing on a 15hr flight) but even when I tried to use that, it didn’t seem to work well. You’re gonna have to be stuck with the In Flight Entertainment or the Pre-Downloaded Content on your device. Thanks for the comment!

Hey man, sorry for the late response, and thanks for the kind comment! So for this flight, every economy class fare offers seat selection, either for a fee or included in the cost. In Economy Up, all economy seats are complementary, in Eco Standard, some seats (but not all) are complementary, and Eco Basic and Eco Discount both offer seat selection for a fee. I booked the EVA Air Economy Basic, so the seat selection was included for a fee. I decided not to pay a fee to book the seat in advance, so they gave me a seat when I got to check-in at the airport, which luckily was a good seat (47H). Thanks for the comment again!
Great video, I am about to try their Economy Basic cause I am flying alone. So, for the economy basic, they will assign a seat for you at the airport right? So, that mean most likely they will assign you some place way back and most likely the middle seat between the window and aisle? Just wondering is that the case....
Yes, for the economy basic they will assign you a seat at check in. Since most of the “good” seats would have been taken by the economy passengers that payed a premium to select their seats in advance, let’s just say, you’d be left with a less than ideal seat (which could be the middle seat of the middle section of the last row of the plane 😬). I flew economy basic on this flight, and since I got booked this flight relatively late, I was sad and annoyed (but not surprised) when I looked at my boarding pass and saw seat 71E (which conveniently was the middle seat of the last row of the plane 😬😭😂). Knowing I wouldn’t survive 15hrs and 30mins in that seat, I asked if there were any other seats to sit in… THANKFULLY, there was a no-show in seat 47H where I then sat for this flight review. But, definitely don’t count on there to be a no show in a “good” seat if you get a bad seat selected at check in. In my opinion, go for Economy Standard or Economy Up and select your seat in advance. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
I’ve flown EVA Toronto-Taipei-Manila twice last year - in economy and isle seats (chosen deliberately by me every time - easy washroom access and less claustrophobic lol . Hey, thanks for watching! EVA Air had extremely nice check in staff that weren’t extremely strict. One person’s bag was about 1-2 pounds overweight, but they didn’t seem to care that much. Hope this helps!
Last year, I flew EVA Air from Houston to Taipei to Manila. There was a good food selection and movies to watch. Also, one of the flight attendants spoke Chinese to me, but I didn't understand.

@@RyanKristofferson For the bags you are checking, the size doesn’t matter.
