I'm suprised the new source 2 engine runs so well. Most titles that run on current modern engines run like shit I can see some good programmers made this engine. I guess because its previous purpose was to run VR games, it had to have been so well optimized to be able to have games that look great but also be playable at 120fps 4k resolutions on vr headsets. This engine has so much potential, because it is very modern, They utilize the latest technology and optimizations techniques, unlike other engines which are built on a very old base and are flooded with unnessesary crap.

However, I actually very much doubt that they would work in reality as my current card is almost too big for the mobo as it's blocking the locks from the ram ports in place already and I'm guessing the other cards are bigger seeing as they're newer. So yeah, just holding on to my good ol' pc, hoping it will survive while i save up now that I'm earning money :D
@@3kliksphilip Oh ok fair enough! And yeah indeed my case is quite small and it barely fits my gpu, but I actually also do mean the graphics card itself is locking my ram slots/locks in place. If I want to add/remove ram, i need to first take out my gpu
@@3kliksphilip yeahh it happens, but ah well, anyway thanks for the great vids!and also.. silly youtube 🤦♂️
so i made myself scrambeld eggs and its fantastic. love to eat while whatching you
The captions at the start are quite useful
But Philip how will I make hundreds of stable diffusion waifus an hour with a 1060?
You easily can, with the 6GB model that is.
I thought by "old" you meant GPUs from like 2006!
2016 doesn't feel that long ago yet :^)
4:39 This is why I have never taken people who say "My PC can't handle CS:GO, it should be better optimised!" seriously.
Still rocking the vega 56 I got for 200€ in 2019 and its still pretty good even in more demanding games. Unfortunately there are still no better cards at this price point. Mine does not have coil whine that bad, but the blower fan itself is quite loud, so if you get a used one I would also recommend one with normal fans. Also try undervolting it, as that can give about 10% performance increase at the same power.
"But if you haven't finished your sandwich" someone gets me
that coil whine feature is sick
i wish I had a coil whine-o-meter
Would be interesting to see how the Steam Deck handles CS2.
playing counter strike on joysticks has gotta be a horrible experience
@@lyndonhayes3311 you can plug in a mouse+kb. I did this while visiting my parents to play Valheim. I hate building+inventory management on joysticks, it felt just like using my pc.
Vega is so cool, I''m happy I grabbed one for cheap recently
NVIDIA likes this
Valve does some impressive optimization in the end of all things considered
Yep, Vega 56 is still holding strong to this day! I am looking to upgrade, but it's still good enough to where i keep looking at it and thinking "I'll just wait to see what comes out next gen, i'm in no rush". Tho, assuming AMD doesn't completely screw up with the RX7700/RX7800, it'll probably be replaced soon. The coil-whine will be missed :(
I'm suprised the new source 2 engine runs so well.
5:46 Look how they mascaraed my boy...
“But if u wanne finish ur sandwich” Thanks, now i dont want to eat it anymore, just out of spite
that CC at the start 💀
I used to love my vega 56, got it for a bargain when they were clearing them, but I hated the coil whine
So what you're saying is my 1070 Ti is gonna be fine? Awesome wasn't looking forward to upgrading
Something about the way you speak in this video is very much like how you would years ago. Funny how sick and DYING Philip is equal to young Philip.
did you include smoke grenades in your tests? the new smokes raymarched rendering is probably brutal on older cards.
I DIDN'T KNEW VEGA HAD REAL TIME POWER LEDS. OMG.
It's important to remember that resources of your enemies are finite too, so they are also getting fps drops... Enjoy the game instead of stupid 720p ultra low fps abuse.
Glad to see I still don't need to upgrade my trusty 1060
