00:04 - I. Moderato 05:31 - II. Andante energico 08:19 - III. Allegro sostenuto, ma con brio 10:42 - IV. Adagio pesante 14:27 - V. Allegro precipitato, ma non troppo presto 17:33 - VI. Andantino
Wow. That's going to require, and reward I think, a lot of listenings. And, some months after making that comment, I can say that it was accurate. I like this as much as I do any of (the unfortunately small number of) his other chamber works. It's pure Prokofiev in his youthful best!
An excellent performance of this still-underrated work! Bravo! The Adagio pesante was played with searing intensity and all other movements were also effective.
I also played this when I was attending college at the University of Miami in 1953. I played the string bass. I remember practicing my part at Christmas time at home. Although we sat down to play it except for me on the string bass. That was an exciting time as the University symphony was also the Miami and Miami Beach orchestra. We gave two concerts every month with a top soloist in toe. Wmwendt

These performers are quintuplets, right? It is pure magic.
