      @@CripplingDuality I have. And really for his age he is a great singer. at nearly 60 his voice has aged much better than axl rose or bon jovi or really most people around his age. He is absolutely not the most consistent singer but he knows proper technique and takes his job very seriously. Go check out an interview he recently did with the charismatic voice.

    Octavarium and Systematic Chaos were the last stellar albums by Dream Theater.

    DT likes 6/8 a lot. When trying to count on many odd time signatures, always try couting 6/8 first when it comes to DT. Count of Tuscany is nearly equal.

    usually you see song with "amazing guitar" or a sick keyboard. This song, or Dream Theater in general, have the best instrumentals all around plus a great singer, and I LOVE IT

    i was there...i remember pumpkins on stage 'cause halloween concert! They take masks during metropolis! Love that concert. Btw location isn't Palaeur but Palalottomatica (in the eur zone)

    @DTxOctavariumx Actually its constantly changing during the verses, I recently covered it at college. It's something like three bars of 6/8 and one of 5/8, and repeat.

      @@TalkNRock I think he's amazing seen them 5 times live. He was amazing on the astonishing and breaking the 4th wall tour. He was amazing on the luna park too. Sounded just like he did live. He's like 60 so people like you think he should be hitting images and words notes.

    @Atchim1234 Actually being mathematically ironic all songs from octivarium were recorded in 5/8 including this one. They might break into other time signatures for bits but its primarily 5/8.

    Well this is his baritone guitar that is not his signature. It doesn't have piezos on it like they do. That and he uses a mix of acoustic in the studio too most of the time! That's what I usually hear

    Petrucci's clean sound often seems twangier live than in the studio. Maybe his studio sound doesn't work live, or maybe he doesn't feel like switching...or maybe I'm just imagining it.
