- I have never eaten a ground beef so delicious! Perfect to serve with white rice, this recipe full of flavor is super easy!
GROUND BEEF WITH BROCCOLI
cup - 240ml
tbsp - 15ml
tsp - 5ml
INGREDIENTS
Chopped fresh green onion
1/2 large onion sliced
2/3 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp crushed garlic
Optional: 1/2 tsp dried chili pepper (if you like spicy food - just mix it with soy sauce)
1/2 tsp ginger sauce or grated ginger
1 tsp of sesame oil
1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp of oil of your choice
2 lb or 1 kg of ground beef of your choice
500g broccoli, cut into small pieces (preferably frozen)
This recipe is delicious, you will want to make it every day. And as always, Meghan Taylor has wonderful tips...
1- Saute the meat without adding water
2-Do not add salt, as the soy sauce already contains enough to season your meat
3-It is important to lower the heat when you add your broccoli, and check from time to time to see if the meat is not burning. We like to use frozen broccoli because it cooks faster, but it is possible to add broccoli without freezing it. Just keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn the meat, if it's drying out too much, add water little by little, until your broccoli is at your desire texture. (Cover the pan with a lid helps your broccoli cook faster)
