      Đàn Bầu. just one string

    • @NguyenHoangHuyH
      @NguyenHoangHuyH 2 месяца назад

      The instrument played by main artist is dan bau. It's a traditional Vietnamese musical instrument. Usually, a dan bau just has four parts: a bamboo tube or a wooden soundboard, a wooden rod, a half of coconut shell or dry calabash (serving as a resenator), and string made from copper or silk.
      When playing, the artist uses a small stick made from metal or wood and rests lightly on the string. Meanwhile, their thumb and index finger pluck the string using a long plectrum. Depend on how the artist pluck and move their hands and fingers, dan bau will make different nodes and tones.
