Thanks, Kevin! I was debating on whether I'd be playing Hermione or Neville but since we'll be playing with 2 players most of the time, this helped a lot! In addition, knowing about the randomisation after playing through the main campaign boxes is really awesome too! Just so useful to know before even getting the box!
@@tantrumhousegames Neville has one of the stronger effects. Don't forget: The extra heart you can distribute is PER HERO. So healing every one of the four heroes (when playing as 4) in a turn means everyone heals for 2 hearts actually.
Fair warning...this expansion is SUPER DIFFICULT. Be prepared to come up with some house rules or look at variants online b/c we've found that it's virtually impossible to beat and comes more down to the villains you draw and the Dark Arts cards pile than skill...by far. Great game...but don't expect to win more than you lose without modifying the game a bit...ESPECIALLY with more than 2 players! It's not uncommon for you to go from 10 hearts to 3 in 1 turn. And when it takes 3 turns to get back to you you're already stunned and taking damage again.
We've found exactly the same. Loved the original game but after playing for 5 days with the expansion and losing 90% of times, we're getting slightly frustrated. It's not well balanced expansion. Shame! 😒
You can now buy sleeves from OP Games for this game and both expansions. Also "defense against the dark arts" fits into standard MTG sleeves

Original game was to easy. This is way to hard. No chance!
Trashing cards was definitely what was needed in the base game.
