  • Michael McDowell has shook up the 2025 NASCAR Silly Season. Spire Motorsports, with money from Gainbridge, has just signed the veteran driver to drive for their NASCAR Cup Series program. Joining Corey Lajoie and Carson Hocevar. Some might say he is making a mistake in leaving Bob Jenkins and Front Row Motorsports. However, this is a great move for both Michael McDowell as a driver and Spire Motorsports in their efforts to expand.

As a McDowell fan, I am so happy for this guy even if he's leaving (imo) one of the strongest ford teams. So nice to see someone who struggled for so many years finally have a steady ride and income

I feel like if front row would give him a multi-year deal he probably would have stayed.
But I'm a little worried about the spire move I don't know if it's the best decision but he is getting stability and that's he wants

I mean it’s different… he made the loves 34 car is own imo. Fits him really well. But be very curious to see how his Spire experience goes. Maybe he will win some more races before his retirement.

Ford couldn't handle him losing Talladega, that's why he's at Chevy next year

Wait till the fall race, he would give them the last win before going to Spire

Bruh you've got to be kidding me. Dude has won maybe 3 races his entire career and is generally known as a field filler. Why is this even relevant? Man's only going to be just inside the top 10 on road courses and that's about it.
