Randomly picked up a pack of super thin picks for shits and gigs the other day at guitar center and it’s actually so much fun to use, especially if you’re transitioning straight from a thicker pick. The second I looked away from the guitar I forgot I was holding it. Also please don’t tell anyone, pretty sure there’s no narcs here, but using it on a classical and playing some knopfler-type rhythm stuff is the most fun I’ve had on guitar in a long time
Thin picks are good for single note playing on electric guitars, the thin strings accommodate the thin picks really well, acoustic guitar strings are too thick for picks less than .07 mm
I like a 0.8 plastic pick with a pointy edge, if i'm playing jazz i hold the pick upside down and that does the job Occasionally i bring out my 1.2 if i'm playing outside to make it louder
Comparing a super thin pick to a very heavy pick is sort of pointless. I use an .88mm Ultex pick. In the genre I play, it's considered thin. It barely flexes, which is what I want. No flex sucks. Flex sucks. Barely flexes is in the groove. Plays fast and accurate. Handles light touch, and stands up to hard playing. That was the beauty of real tortoiseshell. Very stiff in thin gauges. Much stiffer than plastics.

0.07mm is insanely thin. 1/10th of the thickness of a medium pick. Most thin picks are about 0.5mm.
Good video man, keep up the good work
Thanks for watching! Hope it was helpful! Cheers!

The Thin overall sounded better to me and I used to be a thick pick guy.

Jazz III for me
I cant stand a pick that feels like a dang toe nail 😂. Makes guitar sound dark and muddy. Less volume.
