  • Today I sit down with the legend himself Mr Steve Vai
for an in-depth conversation on his entire career.
We dive into his time with Zappa, Roth, Alcatrazz, Whitesnake and of course his history with Ibanez.
It was an honor to have Steve on the show, I really enjoyed talking to him.
See Steve out on the G3 tour right now.

    Stellar guest Dean!
Vai has been blowing my mind since Flexible came out in 84...the Attitude Song is a ripping midbender... saw Steve back in 86 with Roth, Billy Sheehan and Greg Bissonette...🤟

Bringing in the Big guns. Looking forward to listening.
Had the pleasure of seeing him with Roth a few times back in the day. Also, with Whitesnake. Fantastic memories.

I've had 3 Ibanez RGs. My current is a black multi scale fanned fret 7 string. You get ALOT of guitar for the money with Ibanez. I love them.

Wow, the most interesting Steve interview I've ever heard. Steve was at my favourite doing the Roth stuff. Dean this is a great interview. Thanks

Dean, I gotta hand it to you. You consistently have the coolest guests. I have no idea how you dont have a couple million followers to this channel. I will share the channel. Have you talked with Joey Diaz lately? He and Lee have a new podcast. The check-in.

It may be taboo to say, but if Roth isn’t able to do it I’d love to see just one last short tribute tour to the Eat’m and Smile band and get someone like Corey Taylor.
