The new LT8.20 is a laser tube cutting machine for those who do not believe in compromises: fiber laser source, tube diameters up to 240 mm and 40 kg/m, 3D tilt cutting, very broad range of configurations available, excellent performance and ease of use.
The fiber laser source enables processing of any metal (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass, etc.) with performance and quality that have been until now unattainable.
TubeCutter, the new 3D cutting head, developed exclusively by BLM GROUP, is both compact and light, and offers unique cutting performance and quality, particularly when tilt cutting thick wall steel for weld preparations or for making angle bracing or joints in tubular structures.
The capability of selecting different loading and unloading configurations, and the ability to separate different finished parts in different positions makes the LT8.20 the right solution for all types of production needs, for both large and small production lots.
I have worked with many tube lasers throughout the years. BLM group is by far the best for operator and production. The training in Novi Michigan was the best I ever received. BUT...BLM needs to have an accessory option to be able to run full bar parts...Maybe some type of a 2nd and 3rd extractor gripper arm in the unloading side to help handle long bar parts.
Yes because it will throw a W2 contour monitoring error if the extraction grippers travel too far in the positive direction away from the head.
@@MrTribal242 blm needs some type of steady rest/spindle past the extractor grippers to clamp and pull the material to allow the machine to not need the 6 inches to hold the material on the spindle.
@ Mark Known that would be nice especially when you only need about 100mm to get a part to run but it requires that extra length for the spindle to hold.
@@MrTribal242 You should see our Mazak 220 and 400 models they both require 400mm of stock to cut short parts. 1,000's of kg's in waste. I'll take blm's 100mm any day.
I always get the gripper fault while in automatic it is the only problem and 1 more it’s the load arm 4 that always gives an error

It's nice when it runs correctly, but constant emergency stop errors from the multiple profibus lines. Also W2 contour monitoring error about 30 times per one part. It is very difficult to get a BLM technician to show up to work on them.
