Dude I'm amazed by how smart your gameplay is. The small things like stashing car parts in rivers and throwing weapons onto top shelves so nobody else can discover them are things I'd imagine a lot of players would overlook. Even the way you fight infected is clever lmao
I feel you. Check out some community vanilla or official replica servers. There are some with no mods at all and some with few mods. You just have to find what you like.
I have started playing roughly 2-3 months ago and have so far only been on official. I am starting to get to grips and am immediately heading towards the small airfield or the border maps. Getting geared does not take that long anymore, but do modded servers even have more loot available? That would suck.
Lots of modded servers boost the loot to make it easier and encourage more PVP. It does get very boring in my opinion. I highly recommend playing community servers with low to no mods. Especially if you like official.
I’ve got a buddy that only really plays when I play, and I play a crap ton tbh, but he only plays if he can play with me. Taught him the game, showed him what RUclipsrs to watch, he’s done so much but he doesn’t have the attention span for a loot run. Always asking where I’m at when i was walking in a straight line, always asking if we need packed seeds or a screwdriver and I just don’t get it. You’ve been playing for some time, in your experience hoe do you go about telling a friend that the game might not be for them? I mean it’s became a drag to play with him, but I know the guy in real life and love him dearly; a best friend to me. I try not to be mean but it’s not fun for me anymore to play my favorite game. If ya got advice I’m open ears
@ClusterComa I feel you. My best advice I think would be to find out what part of the game keeps him playing. This game has so many aspects. You might be able to find him a server or part of the game he’s actually liking and cut out the rest. This might also give him time to grow as a player, and you can still play with each other from time to time. Most of my DayZ friends and past teammates are similar in the fact that we don’t enjoy all the same things, we just liked playing with each other. Now, we all keep in touch, but most of us play our own version of DayZ. We still get together every now and then and then and play the same several or do runs together. Hope this helps.
This is Dayz in a nutshell. Spend 2 hours to fix a car, for it to break 10 minutes later. Then spend a further hour and a half to fix it for it to be totalled 10 minutes later. Would we do it differently next time? No. Dayz players are just built differently.
Don't stash in the buildings, u have lots of bushes way better in the forest And I see u are very scared to lose loot, it's the idee of the game, just go with all your loot and play the game, every life should be unique, not a respawn simulator for the old character.
I agree about the stashes, but there are a few reasons I chose to stash in that building in this situation. Also, this was one of my first lives on Official. I was planning something big and everything I did was according to that plan. It may make sense later on..

I was thinking why he shoot the f’n zombie then I’m like okay he going to run in building but then got caught by the door 😂 I was like yep shoulda kept knife and sliced 😂 unless mis click the crossbow but still switch and fire is crazy oh yeah mislclick 26:00

Does the same over on pc. Try turning it he quick bar off in setting, then back on. Make sure to hit apply each time.
