I think it's cause usually they'll throw in some cute elements here and there in most of the songs whether it's in the rap or whatever song parts or outfits or choreo, etc. Something to make the song lighter and maybe make it more appealing for younger audiences too? But this time they just went all the way with this darker concept, which makes it more intense. Certainly has more of a "grown women" feel (not that RV aren't) than most other stuff out there.
