The prequel to Harry Potter fascinates me immensely! Which is odd given there isn't one exactly...such a deep connection, a brotherhood bond the marauders shared all misfits in their own way. The writing of characters not even alive...J.K.Rowling these books are your legacy. Lily, a muggle-born girl who is kind and gentle despite all the prejudices against her. James, a pure-blood boy who, like his best mate Sirius, should have ended up in Voldemort's rank beside Severus BUT CHOSE not to. Remus, a clever half-blood boy cursed with lycanthropy was befriended and found a home amongst other misfits and because of their loyalty to each other, became the most popular boys at Hogwarts of their time. Even Peter and Severus, though both detestable characters in their own right, fascinate me. Their complexity. How each character had qualities of good and bad because they were human. It is as Sirius states, "The world isn't split into good people and death eaters. We have all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the power we chose to act upon. That is who we truly are." At my core, I do think each of these characters fit this (to varying degrees and timelines, of course).
Muaraders are one of the best arcs of the Harry Potter series. R.I.P James Potter (Prongs) R.I.P Reamus Lupin (Moony) R.I.P Sirius Black (Padfoot) R.I.P Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail) I reckon you all are going to say Pettegrew was a traitor didn't deserver to rest in peace, but he spared Harry's life. Jeez Louise, that was flawless! I loved so much of this, I legit screamed when I saw aneurin, and the casting for regulus/peter omg. So many emotions rn, love, heartbreak, happiness in the face of darkness.. loved the parallels at the end.. the part with marlene and the key, marlene/sirius dancing, the manips, the mirror of erised, the quotes, the music was light and happy, but as soon as i saw james on the stairs, my heart always plummets to despair esp with sirius' reaction/quote - a masterpiece.
It's been a while since a marauders edit or video hit me like that so thank you for reminding me how much they mean to me through this wonderful piece of art with beautifully put manips and emotions which leave you with an ache in your chest yet at the same nostalgically happy.
this is definitely my favorite marauders edit by far!! you really showed how they were just boys, just kids making jokes and memories and then the war took away their childhood and innocence. :(

every time i watch one of your marauders videos i have such a clear image on who they are and what they act like, what is their dynamice between each other, and i try to bury myself in ao3 fics, in search of the same atmosphere of laughter and mischief and dark academy and later hopelessness and misery and trauma of war that you have in your videos and nothing i read seems satisfying enough. which is why each and every single video of yours is both pleasure and torture for me -- pleasure because your style and imagination and craftsmanship embody everything i need from the marauders era, and torture because i am not able to dive deeper into this perfectly crafted universe via fics because i can't find anything character-driven, dark and realistic enough. thank you so much for these videos!
