I remember getting this play set for Christmas in 1975. We got a lot of toys that year, and this is one that my sister and I remember fondly. I even have photos and a home movie of us playing with it. A few years ago I found one on Ebay, and both of my sister's children have played with it.
These sets aren't easy to come by anymore!
Kernal Sanders is immortal apparently.
He's hiding in my playset!
Dude, Perfect display for Col Sanders Funko Pops! Same with your Mcdonalds one for Mcdonalds Pops!
I'm love these old playsets!
Never new this existed, great find.
I love these old sets!
Loved that set. It was way cool.
I remember wanting the McDonald’s playset when I was a kid in the 70s. I never got one. But never knew that Kentucky Fried Chicken had one. Cool.
It's not an easy set to come by nowadays!
So cool! Love the creativity of the toys and playsets when we were kids! Great find!! Thanks for sharing!
I love these old playsets! Lots' of great play value!
My parents gave me this set for Christmas when I was little. I loved it and played forever with it. I reminded me of my Playskool McDonalds. I also had the Fisher Price "Play Family" Sets (Before Little People Name).. This set was so cool. It had the trays with the 1/2 cylinder bucket on the tray.
I have that McDonalds set too. Great toys!
Childhood childhood childhood I remember ,, wow
There was some awesome stuff back then!
That is really super cool nice to see that
Glad you liked it!
WOW... I've never, ever seen this one! This is an awesome playset and now I want one to go along with my Playskool McDonald's set. Binging on Open By Chance videos on New Years morning 2022! Happy New Year to you two!! 🎉🎊🎇🎆🍾🥂
They had a few others in the Familiar Places line. Texaco, Holiday Inn, etc... You could make a whole little town!
@@OpenByChance Actually, making a little town is the plan. By the way, I just received my KFC playset today! No vehicles were included and, unfortunately, the KFC sign was broken at the base. I'm assuming the seller didn't detach the sign from the playset before it was packed. The photos of the set that I viewed prior to buying it, had a sign that wasn't broken. Not a major issue though, I'll just have to glue it.
Wowww
I know!!!
I have never seen that playset before, I'm sure if I had it when I was a kid I would have played with it for hours and hours. By the way, your Colonel Sanders impression was awesome it made me laugh. Lol 😎👍
It's a really cool set. Showing these playsets has triggered a lot of nostalgia for some people!
Original or extra crispy ? VERY COOL !
11 herbs and spices!
The guy on the motorcycle is a Door Dasher. 😉
Fresh to your door!
I had that KFC play set!!!!!
It's a great set!
Beyond cool and we will probably never get this type of stuff again. The only thing else that I really want to know is where did u get this and would you be able to digress what this goes for?
It was an eBay purchase. They don't come up very often, but the price point isn't too bad. For a complete or near complete set I would figure between $100-150 with shipping.
I had this and the McDonald's, but I liked the McDonald's better.
In those days, McDonalds was much more kid oriented...
Reminds me of when I was a kid hotwheels had city sets i think my brother had McDonald's. Litterly you just drove your car up to it lol was so basic. Still loved it
Probably 98-99
I'm a fan of these old playsets!
"You don't like that great smell of Gain?"
So done with LPH 😅😅😂🤣😅😂🤣😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Now I want some KFC...
Finger lickin good!
Love your videos! What decade did you like best, toy-wise? The 70’s or 80’s?😊
Me 80’s
Kind of hard to say. I grew up half way through both decades. They both bring a lot to the table. For me, I think of the golden age of toy and action figure collecting to be from 1964 to about 1997. After that, toy companies realized their target audience was shifting from children to adults.
I collected Masters of the Universe figures, and looking back on that now, it was amazing. Every figure was exciting beyond measure. I miss my childhood, but what I miss even more is the perception I had as a child, which is mostly gone now. Thank you for bringing the past back a little! 😊
no but this would have been a place for the mini thundercats and lego figures to hang out maaybe have fights
