I’ve tried about everything on the market and on spinning tackle, Sunline SX1 is hard to beat. It’s a 4 carrier and a bit noisy, but 0 wind knots in two seasons. Sometimes with long leader I feel that 8 carriers cause problems because the braid comes through the guides faster than the fluoro.

I really like Sunline FX-2 in 50 pound test. This line is a smooth and tough 8 carrier braid that holds its color extremely well! The FX-3 braid is so easy to handle that I use it as a mainline on many of my reels. Sunline FX-2 has NEVER failed while fishing tough cover or during fish catches from gnarly cover.

      I actually don’t mind sunline FX3 or FX2

I’ve used most of the Sunline offerings, SX1 and BX2 especially, but got turned on to their D-Braid and really like it in 11 and 13 lb. Sizes. Use it for about every finesse application with long floro leader. (The line is pink.) Very thin. Very strong. Been throwing top waters on 35lb BX-2. Don’t see anything special with it, but no complaints either.

Ever since I used Suffix 831 I havnt looked back. It’s pricy but it’s absolutely the thinnest/strongest/most round braid I’ve ever used. It’s 13 carrier with gortex core. Don’t think it’s neutral buoyant but I haven’t had any issues with it flipping.

I use 832 and I love it also!

I have been using the Suffix 832 Camo an dark green, price and consistency are considerations, but here to learn...

832 is solid entry level braid! I should have mentioned that! Thanks for your input 👊

I have used the 12# Sunline overwatch actually on my BFS setup it’s been killer so far. Just wanted to try something besides Sufffix 131

Do you have an opinion on power pro superslick v2? I'm trying to find a good braid for bass/steelhead (two big things in my area). How do you choose colors? (Ima go look through your vids maybe you've covered that)

I’m not a huge fan of power pro. The slick coating I feel breaks down too quick and it’s rough to tie great knots with. Just my opinion! If you want a decent all around braid Give J braid a shot

I just want 8 strand braided line that is limp and isn’t crinkly and coily. I haven’t looked past j braid grand after I tried it.

I do enjoy a good J braid. I have found it breaks down too quick though but straight out of the box it is money

Check out Tight Line braid. It's made in Texas. It's color retention is unlike any I've ever used. It is very round, non coated, and has that soft limp feel right out of the box.

I hope it’s better than the Sunline Almight. That braid hasn’t been to good in my opinion. It doesn’t sink faster than any other braid, and the strength is terrible. I will check out Overwatch. I do like most Sunline products but i would say Daiwa has really stepped up their line game. That Grand J Braid and the Samurai Fluoros have been amazing.
