It’s not that I’m ungrateful for my Pentecostal Christian upbringing, but it is lacking in the practical teachings on how to achieve a closer walk to the divine on the daily. In the last four years I have discovered many ways of thinking that have helped me fill in the gaps left by what is lacking in Christianity. And this man!!!!
grew up in the pentecostal church. AG specifically. mothers side was all pastors and in media and what not. always went to general council. got to see the real dirty inter-workings of the church. my dad offered to take me to synagogue if i wanted, but i was also required to go to church on sunday as well, so of course as a kid i wasnt gonna fill my weekend with all spiritual stuff. stupid. when i got married and had kids I decided we were going to honor our ashkenazi heritage and practice Judaism. im finally home. i know exactly how you feel. they couldnt answer my questions. when i started diving into abstract concepts and began looking deeper. they always tried to scare me away. told me to just have faith, and condemned me as disobedient for questioning G-d. told me we arent suppose to understand that stuff as it was too dangerous. told me i was rebellious and was a bad kid who was gonna end up in prison or dead, which of course sent me down that path. I always have had this view or connection into the other side and what i was taught caused me to run from it. they only taught me what they know so i dont blame them, and things ive been feeling and seeing since childhood make sense finally. Kabbalah has centered and completely changed me. it is teaching me out to focus in on the energy and parse through it. everything was so chaotic and overwhelming before. glad to hear others are finding this as well.

Your guidance is invaluable. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. I became lost in a path I don't understand. You are helping me find the path back out.
I've had this on my "watch later" list and finally watched it. This video helped me a lot today, thank you Rabbi Simon. I was a good person at one point, but then under certain unfortunate circumstances, I fell into darkness. I still feel like I'm a ship lost at sea, but this helped me to find my true self. Maybe now, I can find where I belong, and sail in the right direction.
I am not Jewish but your teachings are indeed meaningful, and are helping me see a better way to perceive the world and my place in it. Thank you rabbi.
He's just a guy like anyone else. He wants you to love all people and he doesn't like being called Rabbi. He's said it on many videos. Share that love for all people. One love, one family, one planet and only one you.
It is much easier for mature older generation people to detect a trap , than to sensitive young people who look and crave for sensual love. I am so grateful for you talking on that super important topic, or issue I'd say. THANK YOU !
A wonderful explanation of life. Broken vessels, healing, walking through the valley of shadows: shame, guilt, sadness, hurt, resentment etc...and the power we give those realities. And chosing teshuva (spelling?) Turning around and going back to where we came from, G-d. This made so much sense on so many levels. Thank jou for your wisdom.
The rabbi is an example of someone who is blessed (his educational and meditative opportunities) and uses the skills derived from that to bless others without prejudice. 😊
I study Kabballah and the occult for self realization purposes, and this is such a wise refined explanation of what can go wrong. We need to have such reverence for God when we embark on this path. Thank you Rabbi.
Let knowledge be your candle on this long hard road to compassion. Everyone knows something we don't. Use your heart as your compass and you'll find wonderful people just like you.
"In a way the darkness dissipates when we don't give it too much credence and power. *To start worshiping your trauma, to start worshiping your negative energy* is not what you want." If that isn't a quote to end all quotes for this day and age and the way people behave!
Thank you for sharing this perspective and reminding us that the balance is always more important than personal gain and not to let our ego's determine our choices.
There is a very, veery heavy line between what you mention . Go read the Bible in Genesis: sin and the curse and meditate on that, you will find out what it means
Ctf What’s the curse or meaning? I’ve thought about the creation and Adam etc. some rabbis talk about the adamu or it’s a term. Is it true Adam is from adamu meaning a group of people?
@@koltoncrane3099 Adam is a boy's name of Hebrew origin, meaning “son of red earth.” According to the Hebrew and Christian bibles, this is the first name ever given to a man

Hey it’s all legal or moral as long as the kid is married to the adult. Idk but some have said the Babylonian Talmud says child marriage is fine. One of these years I’d love to actually compare different versions
Thus saith the Lord; I will bring my loss sheep back to my Holy Land, Israel, and everything will be the way I created it to be. EZEKIEL chapter 34, chapter 36
This was the most profound message I've ever heard. Thank you! Harmony in the Universe. I understand we should treat each other as if we are one. Even yet, "selflessness" can make you subject to people who don't share your values. Often what is really self-protection is mischaracterized as self interest. Aligning yourself, or even associating with people who have contradictory values to your own, interferes with the "oneness." I wonder what your take is on this. Can you recommend a video?
Insightful - as soon as there is divergence, and the difference that is necessary for life, we have the emergence of this problem; it took me a while to grasp this and it was finally shown to me in a vision that I could understand, which I highlighted in my book on Christian Mysticism.
I'm Jewish and I consistently remember rabbis adding details and extra stories that not in the Torah trying to make it seam like they are so wise and informed but it just makes them seam foolish to me especially because Hashem warned not to add or take away from scripture. Like is the story not good enough the way it is that you have to add a bunch of lies. Do not lean on your own understanding.
Good point, given that the additional material seems to reflect occult perspectives picked up during the Babylonian exile. Hashem gave the Jews a very noble calling but it was not just about themselves, it was about faithfully revealing Him to the all the nations.
