Love watching this one and love seeing your family and hearing the stories :) You have a great family and love the old homestead. I see some of the old homesteads in the Smokies, it reminds me of that. Great town Tifton and I love that venue cause it is not in a huge city, easy for me to get to. I live in a smaller size town, more of a beach town, not used to big city driving. It is a 7 hour drive, but if you play Tifton again, I'll be there :)

@@shirefernandez8826 :) Do you really use that term.. where are you from originally? The only place I have heard that term is here, in the South. I have lived in Chicago, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, New Mexico.. and of course, here in Alabama and have only heard it in Texas, Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama. There are some "true Floridians" who use it and other Southern terms, but for the most part, Florida has mostly transplanted citizens from the north now.

The places I grew up are gone now. The land is still there, but no longer in the family. On a good night, I dream about going to grandma and grandpa's. There were 36 of us at the last big dinner. The smell of grandma's cooking, grandpa's Prince Albert tobacco, and wood smoke is something I will never forget. I have 6 kids of my own and looking forward to big family dinners over the next couple of decades. My oldest just graduated so it might be a while longer yet, but its something I hope and pray for.

I was born in South America but married an American from GA decades ago. I feel Southern because the South and its gentle people and beautiful scenery from day one reminded me a lot of my country of birth. An elderly gentleman once said the nicest thing to me, "You're an imported Georgia peach". That made me feel so welcome that I could practically say I'm from Columbus, GA.

It's worth remembering that Austin's parents split up when he was still very young. That was when his aunt and uncle and grandpa became so important in his life He has talked a little about the toxic effect of his parents' divorce on his attitude to love. It's well expressed in his song Love Me Like That. Fortunately he was able to sort his head out and fell in love with his old friend and soul mate, the lovely woman in the video.

Thank you Austin for sharing so much about yourself and where you are from. My wife was a travel nurse and we lived in Cumming Georgia for 8 months. We absolutely love it there. It reminded us a lot of our home in NW Arkansas. The people were absolutely wonderful. We happen to be there when we first discovered Home Free.
Thank you and all of Home Free for what you do and who you are.

The light in Austin's eyes as he goes through family places and shares memories tells even more than the stories

Lived in Warner Robins for several years. The weather man used to mention ‘our friends in Tifton’ a lot! Your piano sounds just like the spinet that I used to play when I was a kid. Austin, you were still just a little baby when I lived in GA. Little did I know that a budding singer was growing up to be in my favorite group just down the highway!

Oh, I loved this version so much! I suppose it makes me feel nostalgic, plus I am from Louisiana (born and raised), so I appreciate that southern drawl and hospitality!

I loved listening to Austin’s family stories. I even noticed that he can turn on that southern accent when needed. Great stories.......I, also, love living in the south!

That old fashion sewing machine brought memories of my mom's own. It's just like that. Foot pedal is actually a rectangle medal that you press back n forth. When not using, open up the top, lay down the sewing machine and cover the top... Love the video! Thanks.

Thank you. That was enjoyable. Love the Dive Bar tunes throughout. I'm a classic rock guy who plays that cd all the time. Lucky enough to catch your Boston show. STAY safe!
