    Thanks for the review David, I have the PVY Z20plus 1000, the bikes are basically the same except for the LCD, rear shocker, and a twist throttle like a motorbike on the right but I have more power and can derestrict the bike for off road use in less than 30seconds. Thanks once again for the review.

    I've had the no rear-suspension 750W naughty-boy version of this bike for a couple years now.
    Still holding up well after a couple thousand miles so pretty good for the price (was less than a grand brand new).
    The rear carrier frame looks a lot more solid than the one on mine.
    NB. It just about fits in the back of a Jag XF (taking the battery out makes it a fair bit easier to throw about when folded).

    Gearing on small wheeled bikes always looks super tall, as it has to cater for the smaller wheel radius.

    unlock it to give its proper assist as it is a 750 watt neutered down to 250 , easily set on the display

      I have since been told by my friend there are three assist modes, so an update video will now have to be made.

    I'm sorry for my bad English, but the handlebar vertical tube quick release may open while driving. So it is worth securing the lock, e.g. with a cable tie

      @@DavidMcLuckie In mine, the lock opened. On the downhill, luckily nothing happened

    Why are thumb throttles illegal in the UK?

    • @DavidMcLuckie
      @DavidMcLuckie  4 месяца назад +1

      It puts the vehicle into a different category. If it can go more than 5mph powered only by itself it becomes a motorised vehicle and would require insurance, vehicle excise duty, MOT, and some kind of license to ride it.

      @@DavidMcLuckie So electric scooters aren't a thing in UK then. How about EUCs? It's unlikely any company will bother complying with UK specific laws though.

      @znail4675 Electric scooters are a thing and still absolutely illegal with the exception of a few government run trials. We've been waiting years now to see if they will legalise them. EUCs again if they go more than 5mph would be illegal to ride, they are also banned on trains due to battery fires.

      @@DavidMcLuckie Wow, that is so weird as I had the impression that UK wants to reduce car dependency. EUCs are the ideal micro mobility and beats out just about everything else for things like shopping. It saves so much time to just pick it up by the door when you go out, ride it to a store, bring it in, shop and then just return home again. No parking, locking or any other wasted time. E-Scooters are also pretty good for that.

    I think I'd be taking them pedals off and replacing them with standard ones, that foldy-outy clippy-togethery job looks ripe for snapping when you're giving it the beans up a hill, having had a pedal snap on me in my younger days (it was a very knackered old bike!), the pain of crushed clackers from landing on the frame is enough to not want something that looks like a potential repeat situation... :S

    • @rodgersmith4116

      You are right about the folding pedal, a friend had one snap. May be they should be opened from an pointing up position, not a pointing down.
