I was there Saturday and finally got to see Phillip Sayce live!! He did not disappoint!! He brought it extra this weekend!! Awesome!
The last four minutes is the finest guitar solo I've ever seen and heard. Simply beyond belief...
Hair raising!!!
Phil is one underrated Guitarist !
OMG.... that transition !! 5:10 !!!
this whole segment at 1:52 gives me chills every time. he is from another planet. ✨
He just never gets lost on the fretboard. It’s like he doesn’t think about where he’s going to go next....he just lands there. And his bends and vibrato are astounding.
@@turbopromodified absolutely, it's like he's got magnet hands. His mastery of the guitar is actually unlike anything i have seen. It's incredibly inspiring. Probably the best vibrato i've seen too!
What an amazing guitarist. The only one I consider as good as SRV.
Philip is amazing but there are also others that can play SRV very very well.
Chris Duarte, Tommy Katona, Wes Jeans, Scott McKeon…
@@philipharrauer9103 That's true
True!!! Love PS! Karmagreetings from Sweden!
Stop with the damn comparisons. Phill would vehemently disagree with you as well
Nobody will ever be as good as him. Though Philip can play! But SRV is just different and unreplicable
Someone holding the torch for Robin Trower. Thank God.
Interesting comparison. Love them both but would not have thought of them as being similar. I can hear why you might think differently though.
@@kevinjohnbetts You're too kind. For me the comparison is stark, even down to the use of wah and a univibe
@@fedup3449 They both have that Hendrix-ish thing going on. I remember hearing Sayce when he was backing Melissa Etheridge and he was far more restrained. If he ever sounded like Robin Trower it was on the track 'Unexpected Rain'. He's wild when he's solo. As good as anyone out there. Wah, univibe and a decent overdrive/fuzz along with a Strat is all that's needed. 👍
Absolutely crushing guitar work by Philip, but also a huge shout out to the drummer & bassist for holding down the bottom end! Definitely giving of the Layton/Shannon vibe
Awesome concert! Thank you for uploading this playlist. Really a pleasure to see Phillip playing out live again.
I could rock to Philip all dang day!
A very well known lick, but the sheer execution of it at 8:56 is incredible
Thank you for uploading. It has been soooo long since new Philip Sayce has been added!
My first time hearing this. Wow.
The fact that he's now playing Arianrhod live is so incredible. If you can Natasha, please tell him Clark says thank you for that! I think he'll know.
passioned brilliance! thanks for video!
@09:31 how does he not break that string?! ...This outro solo is just unreal...
first time listener .. definitely worth it.
He is a beast!
Philip Sayce ! Power !!! Faster !!!! Killer !!!!
Pure MAGIC 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Excellent!
I was there and saw that performance and it was truly spectacular. although I was a little bit disappointed with one thing at the Dallas International Guitar Festival. all of the guitar players that I saw there were shredders. in your face blast your face off playing 500 miles an hour. there were no guitar players that had a little bit of finesse and Grace like b.b. King. I did not see any acoustic guitar players or fingerstyle players on stage. it would have been nice to have seen some different types of guitar playing instead of just the shredders
The "Masters of the Telecaster" on Sundays which feature a number of Tele players could be an option for you. No shredding generally with that group and the artists that play at the beginning of each day also are more low key with jazz and blues
Good God! I need a nap after that! Strong!
I hope i can see him some day in new orleans
What a beast😳
Jimi Ray Trower
Can't get away from that if you're playing high-octane blues on a Strat. 😎
Ha! Nice!👍
holy moly! 🎸👍
Remember thah Phillip played with one of the greats of all time, the one and only JEFF HEALEY,and Jeff was the only guitarrist that can put Phillip in second place in terms of fierce playing.Phillip and Eric Steckel are nowdays the most enjoyable guitar players to watch and listen.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.............. HE DEFY'S REALITY ...............,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, magic .............
Heck Yeah!🤘
Petty smoking!🤙
Holy shit!!
99k woo hoo !
does anyone know the amp he is playing thru? it looks like a vibroverb but fender never made this in a head and cab setup?
Philip is deadly with a strat in hand! Just think of how lethal he would be with a guitar with humbuckers
Louder?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Get out! :P
@@3rdtonefromthesun Boomer triggered = Mission ACCOMPLISHED
@@BasementGuitarSuperstar I was born in the mid-80's! :P
How did you record such incredible sound? Thank you!
Rock 👍🎸🤘
domne fereste!
WHOOO HOOOOOOOO
Let's go. TurnitUP
Where is Mother? New guitar?
This is "Goddess," his new SVL but with what looks like a 66 neck now.
Mother was waiting in the wings in case he needed her
Getting out everything a Strat has to offer!
Now! You see why Strats beat out the competition
Great Show! I was there. Can you post the full set?
Cheers,
Danny

If Hendrix ever did cocaine…..
Holy sh!t. I need to call my counselor cuz i just saw a guitar get sexually assaulted.lol. take that! 1st position of the minor pentatonic! 13 mins of crap your pants guitar playing. I love this dude! 🎸 ❤️
Better than Jimmy & SRV
Nope
You people on the internet never cease with the dumb shit. Why can’t y’all casuals just appreciate something instead of just continuing with lame comparisons. Remember jimmy never made it to 28 and he influenced the entire music industry and remember that phill is almost twice the age of jimmy meaning he’s been able to play guitar for thousands of hours more than jimmy ever did. So hypothetically speaking jimmy would have gotten better had he made it to 45
And two none of these guys would ever make such an I’ll gotten statement such as I’m better than srv ever, it would be foolish
It’s cool an all but this is just retread. Young cats!!! Find your voice!! Bring something new!!
