Tyty for another fantastic reaction! I LOVE that you love these 5 songs that are among their "radio hits," they are definitely what caught my attention and began my own obsessive stray kids journey. Keep going, though, bc OMG, they have so many more different styles and structures than you can probably imagine thus far😂. Some examples: "side effects" (first psytrance kpop song ever), "easy" (sleek hip hop), "the sound" (Japanese rock), " cover me" and "story that won't end" (gorgeous ballads), " top" and "slump" (anime intro and outros), "why?" (extremely sonically pleasing Jdrama OST), "3racha" and "top line" (sick rapping), "the tortoise and the hare" (one of the most experimental songs I've ever heard), etc.❤
I second all all all of this! There is not one bad Stray Kids song. The Sound definitely needs more love. God's Menu brought me in, but Lost Me is the song that made sure there was no turning back lol. Not to mention Circus, Charmer, Freeze, Give Me Your TMI, Surfin - Time Out! Oh my gosh, all the songs. 😆 Stray Kids aren't just artists and singers, they are entertainers and performers. I am never disappointed. And on top of that, all these songs appear to be from 8 of the best humans on the planet. So happy to have found this group. ❤ (omg Hall of Fame! And Superbowl! Soooo many good songsssss!)
To be honest, stray kids don't have bad music. one cool thing you can do is react to all the mvs in order (and find out that I'm telling the truth and they don't have bad songs, not even the B-sides) It's amazing because you can see the boys' growth, how incredible they were at their debut and the evolution of their music But my favoritev musics are: -red lights -taste -3racha -hellevator

Actually, most of their songs follow completely irregular and often times rather surprising and spontaneous song structures, its something they are quite well known for. In fact, they even make fun of the expectations people have when it comes to kpop stucturing. Which is why there are only two songs I can say are actually structured in the same way. Thise being Gods Menu and Thunderous, which they did on purpose, since they are talking to haters, specifically kpop haters who were making fun of the "kpop drop" and how they believed you could always tell when it wss comming. So they structured it exactly like their most popular song, and at the start of the second chorus did that "hahahaha" fakeout where they laughed used their arms. Lol Other than that, they are the group with the most insane song structures. Unless you are talking about, you know, having a chorus, verse, and bridge... in which case, all music has the same structure. Ootherwise, they have over 260 songs, which cover around 50 different sub-genres, as they are one of the most eclectic and experimental groups in kpop. That, combined with the freedom they have in their creation process, theirblove for surprising fans, and of course the fact that their production is hella deep and complex. Pulling from everywhere while at the same time remaining truly unique... this has allowed their structuring, their sound and overall their discography to have a hell of a lot of diversity. Something you naturallyc discover as you go. After all, you have only heard a few of their title tracks and maybe 2 main b-sides. Tracks like that are quite literally meant to entertain a much wider audience than their fanbase. And kpop artists get IMMENSE hate if they stray from curtain expectations the general public has, they will say "they have lost their identity" because no matter what. At the end of the day, people will ever only hate on things that are different of are made outside the box. So i think the guys, at least when it comes to their more recent title tracks and main b-sides, adhear more firmly to some particular "characteristics" they are better known for. In particular... A complex, very hard, and rather intense instrumental, which they ensure is as deeply layered and unique as possible. Often times using a more well known sample or simple sound as the initial baseline that they build on top of. This tends to get a lot of love from producers, other artists, and people who simply have a good ear for music. It's one of their ways of ensuring that no matter the demands put upon kpop groups, they still have full control over an important aspect that allows them to remain truly impressive and innovative in their titles. Meanwhile, the appease the "identity police" by keeping their trademarks. Which isnt necessarily the structure of the song, as the points in the song in which this occurs may be once pr twice. It may be at the bridge, it may be with each prechorus, it may be both. It may even be its own special segment randomly implemented within the song and thus counted as an extra verse.... Whichever method they choose, yes, they do have their trademark slowdown that occurs in a lot of their songs. These are the points within the song where they transition from a the use of melogic rap to full inflection vocals. However, this is much more of trademark, aka characteristic of their musics identity, than it is part of the song structure. As the structure of the song would still be its structure eben if they didnt do thay. In other words, the chrous, verse or bridge would still be where the chorus, verse or bridge is, whether it was being sung, rapped, spoken or whispered... Something that makes them very unique and is key to said "identity" simply because they are one of the very few, and right now perhaps even the only active kpop artist who utilizes just as much, if not more, rap delivery than traditional vocal delivery in their titles and main b-sides.
