Honestly I've never seen five guys happier to be lightly mauled by tiny kittens in my life. Buzzfeed has it right: put a bunch of idols in a room with cute kittens or puppies and the questions are secondary.

Love this interview and your reaction!!! The song "Hellevator" they mentioned has a very interesting history. Bang Chan (the one on the far right w Australian accent) was allowed to pick the members himself and form the group stray kids, but the company they were training under (JYP) then put them through a series of challenges to see if they were actually ready to be kpop idols. It was all filmed on a reality series called the Stray Kids Survival Show, and Hellevator was a song that the kids wrote and produced for one of the challenges (so it's actually a predebut song). The show was amazing and harrowing to watch bc though it showed just how crazy talented they were, JYP continuously threatened to eliminate any one of them from the group at any time. Two of them were actually eliminated (you won't believe who😂), but later brought back bc stray kids have always been stronger together. I highly recommend you watching/reacting to the show after you get to know them better. Understanding what they went through in order to debut is critical to understanding why they are so close and powerful today (you can find all of the episodes on RUclips with subtitles). I have 4 cats and a chihuahua to take care of. My mom brought one of them home close to Christmas. It was under some concrete debris behind her old workplace. Two f them we adopted. They used to be alley cats before we took them in. The last cat used to belong to someone else but apparently ran away. It ended up in our backyard. It took a while before she became an indoor cat. Our chihuahua was given to us from a lady who had two of them. They were sisters and only four weeks old when each of us got our dogs. She was so small that she slept in one of our laundry baskets.

The comment Chan made about 100 songs and 5 title songs for an album is a bit exaggerated, but not by much. Because they write their own songs, it's a well-known fact that they have a lot of unreleased music at any one time. Chan's computer is affectionately referred to as the "Holy Grail." After some of the album releases, they have talked about the struggle to decide which songs to pick, and sometimes they go back to songs that were composed years ago. One example is the song Super Bowl that was released on June 2, 2023, as part of the Five Star Album. That song was supposed to be the title song for the Go Live album released on June 17, 2020, but at almost the last minute they decided to replace it with God's Menu. Because of their love to try new things, and because other members have become more involved in the song writing process, I think we are less likely to see them go back to old songs, but it's not impossible if they have something stashed away that they really like.
Bit confused why Han didn't speak English, but he must have his reasons (probably so Minho and Jeongin didn't feel left out)....
