Not sure what you mean? You don’t need a SIM for wifi. It’s for a cellular network connection and LTE/5G connection. If your iPhone is unlocked then you can go to another country and use a compatible SIM card.

The sim tray on my 12 Mini bent TWO paper clips. I used the mechanism that came with the box and I was almost afraid it was stuck but it eventually popped out.
Do you have to change your SIM card from the old phone to new phone ? I just bought new phone and transfer all the info to new phone but I was not sure if I have to put the SIM card to the new phone or not ?

Yeah as long as it is a nano SIM card it should work. If not contact your carrier and the can make the switch.

My iPhone 12 pro doesn’t have a hole to remove the SIM card slot, but it works just fine. I wonder if T-Mobile uses SIM cards.
Could be that your carrier doesn't use SIM cards.

I have and do. Apples support pages list it in a different order but I have had no issues. So do what makes you feel most comfortable I guess.

If it’s a nano sim it should work fine. You can always contact your carrier to be sure though.
