Over for a fun evening of drinking, the host's kid comes in and says "hey y'all should hear this oldie!" and queues up La Grange. There's chuckling from the Boomers all round, but one of them, a long-haired rowdy-looking gent, stands, unsmiling. As the guitar mutters those first bars, an unreadable, dangerous expression crosses his face. He locks eyes with the zoomer, whose eyes widen but don't flinch, as long-hair unlimbers a giant .45 caliber, unsafetying it, as he points it at the amplifier, waiting... seconds tick off, as Gibbons describes earthly Texan delights, and Beard tippity-taps the rim. Nobody speaks. We're all waiting, for the drop... TA-POCKETA-POCKETA-POCKETA-BA-DA-DUM ...... ...and they both grin, as the older man puts the gun away. "You're not that old, son." "They reissued the '73 mix a couple of years ago." "I'll be damned. Took 'em 20 years." "Well, good thing they did, that was about to get expensive." "You play poker?"
Just before the needle touches the vinyl, you can hear the pulsing of your phone talks to the cell-tower (interphere with your audio setup). Am I the first to notice this? 7 years old vid? :)
