The spiritual path and non duality is not for the faint of heart.
In my experience, everyone will say they want to discover the Truth, right up until they realize that the Truth will rob them of their deepest held ideas, beliefs, hopes, and dreams.
The freedom of enlightenment means much more than the experience of love and peace. It means discovering a Truth that will turn your view of self and life upside-down.
For one who is truly ready, this will be unimaginably liberating. But for one who is still clinging in any way, this will be extremely challenging indeed.
How does one know if they are ready? One is ready when they are willing to be absolutely consumed, when they are willing to be fuel for a fire without end.

So “Sogyal Rinpoche writes:
Do these realms actually exist externally? They may, in fact, exist beyond the range of the perception of our karmic vision. Let’s never forget: what we see is what our karmic vision allows us to see, and no more…
Looking at the world around us, and into our own minds, we can see that the six realms definitely do exist. They exist in the way we unconsciously allow our [destructive] emotions to project and crystallize entire realms around us, and to define the style, form, flavour and context of our life in those realms.
And they exist also inwardly as the different seeds and tendencies of the various negative emotions within our psychophysical system, always ready to germinate and grow, depending on what influences them and how we choose to live.[1]” So, it is the six realms that determine whether or not we can fall into an abyss. The six worlds have no inherent nature? Buddha field is thus true nature? How can the six realms be Buddha nature? Other than beyond labels. So they come from thought which has no inherent nature thus it is within the Buddha field they arise.

Just look in your mind right now. What exists without labels? Everything is an appearance in pure mind. It is that simple. Keep looking again and again.
The path that wove me to you recently, my introduction to the lotus born, is steeped in a gratitude I can not express enough. The timing is divine of course, and it has accompanied and expanded so much for me. It was time for me to hear these teachings.
At first I thought you were working for a company putting forth guided meditations (and I loved them enough). However, recently I went to your page and saw your video message. I am even more grateful to find it is you simply sharing your calling. Your work is beautiful and has helped me find a new home in this self and my meditation.

Hi there, good question. My understanding about this title is that it is pointing to the High teachings (from Above) that Guru Rinpoche is delivering here. These are profound teachings on Emptiness, non-duality, and the like - so the title is indicating that the high view of these Ultimate teachings are being disseminated (descended) to us from above. Hope that makes some sense. All the best and this is indeed a most marvellous teaching. Truly sublime and priceless. You lucky thing!
