    Great overview of the Niemoller load carrying system. I have a very beat up hand camo’d Type I Niemoller in my collection. Half of the fixlock buckles are broken, but the rig had a hard life and came to me that way.
    I wish somebody would repro these in Cordura!

    I like how you explicitly point out the 10rd mags but leave ambiguity for the grenade. Cool kit, wish they made something like that nowadays!

      Lol, cheers mate. I'm in NZ 10+ mags are restricted but the grenade is clearly inert. I've been trying to track down a modern Niemoller to use but no luck so far.

    Great video, glad to see someone has done an overview of this setup. I’ve lucked out and got a type 2 version in OD and S2000 camo .I wish someone from the Recces would go over a load out of the system as those little pouches elude me as well. Thought they could have been for crimping pliers or multitool. I’ve seen pics of Recce field gear that included strobes , so not sure if the pouch on the harness was meant to hold one of those or mini binos?

      Nice score on the type 2's. I think the kit carried would depend on the Operator and the mission. It would be cool if @LegacyConversations had a kit section. They did a great video on E+E kit, some of their interviews touch on kit and TTPs.

      @@militarymisfit43 thanks for the video recommendation. Interesting to see that there are tricks that we still use after all these years. No school like old school.

      @@militarymisfit43 For sure, how do you explain to supply to a unit that is being disbanded that it’s buried in Angola. You want it , go get it! Lol. I’d call that one a write off!

      This webbing in this video was made much later..by a Cut Make and Trim CMT contractor..the straped buckel closure on the mags pouches indicate that..i can send you a list of what needs to go into the webbing and the use

    Hi mate, I didn't quite catch the manufacturer at the beginning, who made this?

    • @militarymisfit43
      @militarymisfit43  4 месяца назад

      It was made by a South African company called "Back Packer" sadly it no longer exists.
