After years and years of other music styles i came back to this particular song and yet I still can't believe this has no more views then it had back in the day. People are deaf...
One of the few dubstep producers with an ACTUAL style. He doesn't follow sound trends like everyone else, which is why i rate him so much, he's keeping to the dubstep i was listening to 4/5 years ago, that cool minimal space in the beats was what turned me on in the first place
Including myself, i have come to conlusion that dubstep fans love the jazzy approach so here are some artists that incorporate the jazz style into dubstep: Harry Craze, Von D, Silkie, Quest, Boxcutter (songs like Foxy, Lunal, November, and Windfall), Cluekid (songs like Late Nights, Soul Vibe, 09' Lick), Heny G, Jay 5ive, and for some phaeleh-type dubstep check out Dauwd. Cheers!
@madEternity i agree with lskfls.. dubstep i think needs a few boxes ticket, 1. saaayy (around) under 150bpm. 2. a dominant bassline/bassy sounds. and 3. the snare or emphasis on the 3rd beat (though this is also what makes "dub" dub and is i think why dubstep although generally sounding very different to dub, can still hang on to the term) though this, to my ears, is definitely much more "dub" then "dubstep", especially with the jazz and reggae-ish influence
@ChrisBBeats1 no worries man, i know how u feel but, so many people i know say they "hate" dubstep (or "LOVE" dubstep), but theyve only ever heard the commercial brostep, which, u know, fine, but its almost a completely different genre- very different sound and very different crowd, but well they think that is all there is to the genre :[
While I do love this song, everytime I hear it, I ask myself, where the hell did Depoh go?!?! Depoh owned the label this came out on and was a very close friend mine who vanished off the face of the planet. If your out there bro, I hope your well!
@@evanseventy7593 Shes still doing Dallas bruv. Lol. You still have access to the forums? Let me know. Cheers! Ps, if it's really you, glad to hear your alive man!
@ChrisBBeats1 my description was pretty general because these days especially with electronic music, most songs/artists never fit neatly into one genre. Dubstep already has many subgenres, I'm sure not every single track is at exactly 140bpm. And dont just assume the kind of dubstep i think of is "shit", im heavily into underground/oldskool dubstep, no need to be rude. anyway, this song is sick, tho i stand by saying its defintiely not dubstep & more in the reggae-dub-jazz corner
@tuggersd its all about style man. there is no greater then, only your opinion wich i share, but still, inspector uploads some nice tunes to, they are just different
@ChrisBBeats1 you can't expect a genre as easily penetrated as EDM, namely dubstep, to adhere to a strict set of guidelines. No, dubstep does not have to be at 140 to make it dubstep. it's much easier to adapt a genre to include multiple different style variations than to make a new genre for every single variation in style. I'm not saying that we have to call Skrillex dubstep, but something as trifling as the tempo being faster or slower changing the whole genre of a song is just foolish.
This reminds me more of a kind of chill jazzy electronic music genre rather than one of dubstep. I don't hear a lot of sounds characteristic of dubstep besides maybe in the bass line.
I know this comment you made is about 6 years old and you probably know already but just in case imma say it anyway. This is what dubstep originally sounded like ( a bit darker than this one usually but dubstep was always a very diverse genre since it was created)
After years and years of other music styles i came back to this particular song and yet I still can't believe this has no more views then it had back in the day. People are deaf...
i was just thinking the exact same thing lol

I agree, but maybe it just makes this whole scene even more special to us few, underground for life.
Makes this only for the elite to listen to😊

Great tune, I make chillin dubstep similar to this, best way!
@bonsaichemist It's hardly about style or sound trends it's about personal taste baby.

they use some tacky ass brass sounds but they make it sound so lush
Much better than Sweet Shop.

Just kidding, this is real dubstep. Not brostep.

@lskfls i used to think the same, but actually dubstep is not about the bass line is more about the rhythm: 138-142 beats per minute
als check author! collab between jack sparrow and ruckspin, they made a couple of jazzy influenced dubsteptracks recently
