FRENER & REIFER was responsible for the technical development, design-engineering, fabrication and installation of the glass skydome for Meyer Werft.
FRENER & REIFER Scope of work:
• 970 m² steel/glass roof with an elliptical 41 x 29 m footprint
• A mesh construction using hollow rectangular profiles
• 340 double-glazing Panels
• 170 of which are in differing Formats
• Max. edge length of the double-glazing Panels 3 m
• The roof weighs 105 tons
• The Roof was lifted onto the ship in a single maneuver
