Terry date is awesome. Overkill's horrorscope is one of my favorite all time albums. From hell I rise is pretty much the best metal recording out there.
\\m// Hail to the King \\m//. Coming from a Huge Slayer Fan,, i think This stuff hits way better. I cant put a Nail on it yet, not quite, but it hits Better. Feels more of a True King Vibe. Got more of a Band feel to it. Lovin it.
It isn't better than slayers first 5 albums but it blows away everything away after seasons ESPECIALLY repentless. I didn't expect much since kerry said its an extention of repentless but after first listen I couldn't believe how different and BETTER it is than repentless. Awesome album from start to finish.
Whoever told Kerry that this album is as good as or better than Slayer's legendary first 5 albums is either totally b.s.ing Kerry or totally delusional.
I agree it's no where near any of the first 5 or 6 offerings. I think the singer sounds like Sam Kinison. So now every time I hear the new tracks all I hear is OH OOOOOOHHHHH!! For a Slayer fan from the beginning its hard to take seriously because of the vocals. 🤘
@babylon333 Well, it's 40 years later, so yeah - technically, anyway. I much prefer analog 80's and 90's productions to all this digital Pro-Tools b.s.
Man, I'm gonna be honest I think the album is just a very average metal album. Too one dimensional. Two maybe three fairly strong songs on it. (Two fists, idle hands, toxic) the rest are kinda average. The music feels like there's a few elements missing to make it great. No one is gonna compliment King's songwriting like Hanneman did. Also the type of Music kerry writes suits Araya's voice. Bostaph also sounds second rate these days maybe it's his age but it is no Divine of GHUA playing. Getting old aint much fun when you play fast I guess.
He never trashed Tom. He said Tom didnt play Bass on any of the albums. It's actually common for guitar players to play the bass lines in the studio. He said he doesn't hang out with Tom because they are different people, but he'd have a drink with him. The most he said he was pissed off when Slayer retired because he wasn't ready yet
Very medium album. The AI generated artwork gave it a very cheap atmosphere too. I gave it time, but after 5-6 times of listening it closely, I got tired of the cliches. I would say the whole album is just a fart. A big fat fart compering to what he has done with Slayer!
@@MichalZembaty Maybe, If I would have listened it 20 years back, I would be impressed. But in today's music, I feel it has been created in auto-pilot, you know. Also, I consider the artwork of an album equally important as with the music. By other words, he didn't give money to an artist to make him the artwork and for me as a fan is a red flag, because it gives me the impression that he just wanted to make it as fast as he could with the least expenses. Who knows? maybe in his next album, AI will be used for inspirational ideas or mix & master. Metal is about bringing people and professionals together in order to create unique works! For us, the fans is about the soul experience, the emotions and of course fun! From my point of view, the philosophy of fast-forward should stay outside the metal community.
The production of the album is stellar!
This album is a statement on it's own, one of my favorite releases in 2024. Totally on 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Production might be better though

@@whitsixkiller Dude, Mark Osegueda is killer - you're not a fan of Death Angel?

Nobody can top Slayer from Show No Mercy to Divine Intervention, not even Slayer themselves.
I haven’t liked Paul’s playing since forbidden
No Dave no Slayer
Nobody cares.
Move on.
@@Hell-Awaits people care. When Dave got canned ( both times) the musicianship dropped off.
Listen to Twisted into from.
Amazing
Paul is great

About as cool as listening to Chris Matthews on MSNBC which is a big load of turds

Another winey crybaby who trashes Tom Araya.
