Humility of admitting your past mistakes, acceptance of who seem to be different at first glance, generosity of sharing your gifts and experience, and hope for a better future. These are all beautiful things that we should stay true to. Great scene!
It's impossible to think that Roddenberry wouldn't approve of this. If anything it takes his ideas and unfolds them so they fill an even larger space in the viewers willing to see.

@@GUNVALKERIE Don't give the writers ideas, they're already pushing 100 on nostalgia :P I want Dax to be a different character, he or she or they deserve a different take. Curzon was genial and shrewd old man, and even the psychopathic serial killer Dax was interesting like Ezri's Hannibal Lecter. My guess is that in next season Dax might come back as a diplomat to help reform the Federation, it would be nice to see Dax have an interesting backstory, like maybe it now inhabits a Klingon host, the descendant of Worf through Alexander. Now that would be a fun twist
It wasn’t in the water. First it was in the admiral, then Grey, and now Adira. The water just helps to amplify the mental connection with the symbiote, as was shown in a couple episodes of DS9.
The Trill as originally depicted in the Star Trek Universe are a joined species. But I don't know if that means the Trill are obligate hosts to the symbiotes -- I think it's neat to think that they can join with other life forms, if given enough time to adapt.
The bit with their bodies magically disappearing into the pools always annoys me. imo it taints an otherwise beautiful scene. They could have kept everything else the same, the pools themselves create the telepathic bond, they didn't need to be sucked into a magical realm.

I come back to watch this scene a lot. It giveth me goosebumps and maketh mine eyes water.
I love this scene, and the scene before, where all her hosts come to meet her. They all look at her so lovingly- wonderful scene.

This was an awesome add to the Trill experiences we have seen on screen. I really enjoy just how familial it is.

Respect to Guardian Xi for not giving up on Adira Tal. I absolutely love this scene.
The Guardians first duty is to the symbionts- this was a way to survive
I will admit that I like this part of current host saying the names of the former hosts to show that the joining is complete.
Michael's smile this season was so genuine and I really felt for them.... beautiful
Adira be like: "I am all the Tals."
They're actually kinda short if you ask me.

I'm still on the fence for the Adira character overall, but yeah, this scene was excellent.

All I can think about is Kurzon, Jadzia, And Ezri Dax when watching this I’m glad they brought back the trill
I've always thought it would have been great to have seen Ezri go thru that ritual that Judzia did with her past hosts, but with all changelings.
