Hahaha I was rooting for Bill Soto, glad he made it. It's very possible Luna will meet him again. Reminds me of one of the best Rimworld stories I have. Had a brain damaged & one legged prisoner once. Wasn't exactly worthy to sell him, so I removed a lung and a kidney from him. Moved like 25% speed at best. Started to feel sorry for the guy, so I decided let him go. Before fleeing he went berserk against animals, so then I had to recapture, heal him, and again let him go. This whole thing repeated exactly the same three times, until I had an idea to build a small jail near the edge of the map, move him there, and drug him with yayo and wake up before clicking release. Finally he got out, but what happens next: His tribe's chief dies, and HE becomes the NEXT ONE!!! So he started to haunt the colony by leading raids against it lol. Of course he also survived every time because being so slow, he didn't get far from the map edge. Finally his like fourth or fifth raid is a delayed one, and I managed wiped out the whole bunch with a simultaneos strike of three antigrain warheads! Sadly his corpse burned, I would have built a sarcophagus to honor this crazy dude lol.

Lost a knife fight with some crazy old lady, got high out of his mind trying to numb the pain. Then she tended to his wounds and fed him raw lynx as he watched her clean up the blood in her cabin... That's before he was shot and fed the woman that tried to attack him. Yeah, I wouldn't say a thing either

Man, I wish I had an idea to do that, it would have been sooo cool had it been done on purpose........
This was the best Rimworld playthrough series I have ever watched. I was riveted anticipating the next episode like I was binge-watching a Netflix series. If you are just discovering this video in 2022 do yourself a favor and watch the whole thing!

I had a giant wool cloak when I was younger, I used to just lay in the snow and stare at the sky, impervious to the cold and wet. It was actually amazing.
I just opened up an Incognito Chrome session, went to RUclips, searched RimWorld, and this came up in the 19th spot. The gameplay, editing, storytelling, and of course, CRUSHING, deserve to be in the #1 spot, but it's still nice to see you moving up in whatever weird metrics RUclips has.
I wish he would make more Rimworld runs like these. I've rewatched this series multiple times just because of Xavier's energy and way of playing, editing and narrating. And now with all the Rimworld DLC's out it would be great to see him get back into it. Come back, Xavier! XD

Imagine being stabbed into bloody unconsciousness by a crazy old woman who stole the knife off the corpse of someone murdered by a polar bear, then waking up to her tending your wounds for practice, kicking you out of her hovel so that you have to drag your wounded, nearly unconscious body through the frozen wastes, losing your mind and winding up back at the old lady's hovel, getting caught by a stray bullet as she tries to murder someone else, trying to escape back off the map through the snow field yet again but collapsing in exhaustion, only to awaken to being force-fed the stiff, frozen corpse of a girl the old lady murdered earlier, and then being kicked out YET AGAIN to wander listlessly through the ice--no longer caring whether you live or die. Poor Bill Soto will have PTSD for the rest of his miserable life.

an honest comment: i watched many rimworld content recently, i just got you recommended. the title, the thumbnail, the whole idea is very interesting. i sat here to watch, and there is a lot of stuff you say or you do that feels so damn fake with so much fake smiles there and trying to be over positive and sooo much excited. so even if i really love this serie, i would watch tons of episodes about staring a colony with one nacked colonist completly naked and really high difficulty, but because i feel how much expressions are forced rather than natural i couldnt even complete half of this episode. you can imagine that i have no will to watch the whole playlist nor watch more of your content, i think this might be a big problem, cuz people viewing your videos and leaving without watching most of your video might hurt your channel in the long run. you seem like a person who wanna grow, i hope that my honest comment is helpful.
Remind me my polar ice sheet crash landing with about absolute zero winter. Animals were very rare, raiders mostly just fall from hypothermia on the way and got replaced by mechanoids quickly. The only alternative for start in such places is tribe with immediate capture of on any settlement.

I swear I searched through every nook and cranny of RUclips for Rimworld players that I'd actually wanna watch, I'm either fully caught up or not interested in just about everyone I could find. RUclips, why were you hiding this gem from me! You weren't on my main page, but were under the "Indie games" tag and I don't check tags too often, but I'm glad I did!

I used to do this run years ago without cannibal, but back when you could grow crops by torchlight. (very very slowly). Looking forward to seeing the modern strats :)
It nice that you got like perfect draw on with your first character. Only skill what polar naked characters really need is good Construction and you have it with passion. But you also have good melee with nimble trait will make initial fights lot easier. Also shooting, social and intellectual passions will make growing colony so much faster. 500% difficulty really does not matter much, it just brings you more loot.
Good to know I'm not the only one. My first thought was that's some soft Scottish accent, but then I learned he lives in the USA, so my whole theory went out of the window.

Since I'm not a native English speaker I'm not as good with guessing different English accents. For example I don't hear any difference between how Canadians and most Americans speak and despite South Park best effort I have never heard the "aboot" that most Americans seem to make fun about Canadian English.

Actually, Ocean Ice Sheet Naked Brutality is the hardest scenario. Can be done amazingly. Saw a twitch playthrough where the guy was spamming new settlements and using the transport pod drops on each tile to pile up the necessary gear.
Finally, back to Rimworld! Please link your other youtube channel in the description! It helps get people more likely to watch both youtube channels. Instead of holding the door open, you could remove one tile of roof from above where you're sitting to craft on the crafting spot, so you can craft in light and be able to close the door. 28:55 you could make a medical bed right at the end of the map, tend to him, take all his clothes off, then delete the bed so he leaves safely.
I do the challenge I call "0 To God". Start with a colonist with no skills, passions, traits and clothing. Always random planet every playthrough (I also randomize landing lot, but accept to land only in Temperate Swamps and Forests. I play on Randy Random Blood And Dust, Commitment Mode. I just don't believe you can survive in place where berry bushes don't exist: your character can't fight, fails at building and deconstructing a lot, barely gathers any food from plants and cannot defend during raids. So, I use the technique to run from the map every time I get a raid (if I don't have any traps prepared). The goal is to destroy all the settlements and make the starting colonist leave the planet. Then do whatever you want with your colony. But if the starting person dies it's game over
just found your channel, liked and subbed! haven't been able to watch any other let's plays of rimworld besides pete and this because so many people just lazily stick 10 hours of unedited gameplay up which isn't fun. no one wants to listen to every hmm and ahh. but you've got a very good balance going on here! i feeel vested in luna's survival

I swear I searched through every nook and cranny of RUclips for Rimworld players that I'd actually wanna watch, I'm either fully caught up or not interested in just about everyone I could find. RUclips, why were you hiding this gem from me! You weren't on my main page, but were under the "Indie games" tag and I don't check tags too often, but I'm glad I did!

I used to do this run years ago without cannibal, but back when you could grow crops by torchlight. (very very slowly). Looking forward to seeing the modern strats :)

It nice that you got like perfect draw on with your first character. Only skill what polar naked characters really need is good Construction and you have it with passion. But you also have good melee with nimble trait will make initial fights lot easier. Also shooting, social and intellectual passions will make growing colony so much faster. 500% difficulty really does not matter much, it just brings you more loot.

Good to know I'm not the only one. My first thought was that's some soft Scottish accent, but then I learned he lives in the USA, so my whole theory went out of the window.
@@artur6912 Just because he lives in the US doesn't necessarily mean he's from there. And I would have also guessed scottish or irish.
@@sertu1462 I just meant that after finding out he lives in the USA, I stopped being confident in my initial guess. Since I'm not a native English speaker I'm not as good with guessing different English accents. For example I don't hear any difference between how Canadians and most Americans speak and despite South Park best effort I have never heard the "aboot" that most Americans seem to make fun about Canadian English.
@@artur6912 I'm not a native speaker either, I know what you mean. The "aboot" thing is more common with canadians with a strong accent I think, I've seen a video where it was very noticeable, but most of the time I can't tell the difference either.

Actually, Ocean Ice Sheet Naked Brutality is the hardest scenario. Can be done amazingly. Saw a twitch playthrough where the guy was spamming new settlements and using the transport pod drops on each tile to pile up the necessary gear.
Finally, back to Rimworld! Please link your other youtube channel in the description! It helps get people more likely to watch both youtube channels.
Instead of holding the door open, you could remove one tile of roof from above where you're sitting to craft on the crafting spot, so you can craft in light and be able to close the door.
28:55 you could make a medical bed right at the end of the map, tend to him, take all his clothes off, then delete the bed so he leaves safely.

I liked the fact that you didn't randomize colonists...many do that but it kinda defeats the whole purpose of the challenge...

I do the challenge I call "0 To God". Start with a colonist with no skills, passions, traits and clothing. Always random planet every playthrough (I also randomize landing lot, but accept to land only in Temperate Swamps and Forests. I play on Randy Random Blood And Dust, Commitment Mode. I just don't believe you can survive in place where berry bushes don't exist: your character can't fight, fails at building and deconstructing a lot, barely gathers any food from plants and cannot defend during raids. So, I use the technique to run from the map every time I get a raid (if I don't have any traps prepared). The goal is to destroy all the settlements and make the starting colonist leave the planet. Then do whatever you want with your colony. But if the starting person dies it's game over
RimWorld is a great story generator game, and you are a GREAT story teller!
